I always use ghost balls for the occasional read or even to show me a shot that I didn't know about. But I don't really like wait for them to hit first I just have them on. Also interestingly enough I was playing PGA week 8 today and I quit then came back and I was playing against 7 ghost balls. The game bugged out and I hit my approach into 1s green and there was like 8 balls on the green and I was so confused lol. I've had this happen too. It's chaos on the golf course! You are the marshal. Shouldn't you be preventing this?

You can see different lines that you maybe had not considered, especially off the tee with driver. But I hate when I hit an awesome shot and then when I'm just ready to putt and convert the birdie or eagle and all of the sudden these balls start rolling and bouncing in from all over the place. lol

Ghosts on practice rounds. No Ghosts on tournament rounds.
But from what I read here, I should maybe try my next tournament with ghost(s) activated...

I sometimes play against ghosts in practice, particularly if I am trying to beat a friend's best score I will play against them. I never play with ghosts on in tournaments as i hate it when a ball rolls past me just as I am hitting a shot, but after reading this I might try it next time as getting a view on a putting break could be really helpful.

Thanks to all for their input. I wrote this initially thinking there may be a great advantage to playing tourneys with ghosts on that I was missing out on, but from the sounds of it there is more distraction than advantage gained. I think I will continue to play with them off though sometimes having 1 on with a low round player helps push me to try harder.
