I've been debating getting this for a while now. But I'm getting behind. Have to finish (hell I mean start) Solstice of Heroes (yearly event thing) in Destiny 2 before it goes away in a couple weeks then there is a new golf game coming out this week I hear. Not sure if anyone here is into golf or not.
I suck at flying games and wind up giving up on them fairly quickly but this one looks too amazing not to try. Need to quit watching the game play videos that are out there. The tech behind this game is amazing. I'm in the "recommended" area for my PC stats 4690k and GTX980. Probably can't run it full max. Before Covid I had intended on buying a new gaming PC, may have to get back into that idea.
You can use a controller on this I presume? I do have an ancient joystick from a couple decades ago buried away with my lint collection somewhere.
I have a fond memory of Microsoft Flight Sim. Back in 98 I was at a friends and we were all getting buzzed, he had a computer and he put in the flight sim game he had and it blew me away. I went out and bought my 1'st computer because of that game..and promptly blew the motherboard the day I got it...thats another story lol

It's not ideal for simulating flying but it will definitely work. I'm hoping my older Microsoft joystick still works. It works in X-Plane so I'm figuring it will. That will be good enough to get me started and then I can use the XBOX controller separately to control the camera. |

This game is included with Xbox game pass which is about 5 a month, running ok on my 1060, not great but passable. Very great game, having modeled the entire world lol

I see this is coming to the next gen xbox in the summer. If the reviews are good I might swap over as Sackboy or Spiderman PS5 exclusives don’t exactly get the blood pumping......thats if a Series X can be found by then

Personally, I'm just not that into flying games. Now I think this game is AWESOME. The real time weather and air traffic stuff is amazing to me. My son and a best friend both have this, and I watch them play from time to time. Sometimes my friend will fly to my city and ask me to confirm that the weather in real life here is doing the same thing the game shows and it is!
What I would love is if they would take this tech, and combine it with something like The Crew was, (a driving/racing game where the map was a scaled down, but realistic America). Imagine being able to drive, or even walk a character for that matter, in a game like this where it was pulling terrain, buildings/landmarks, and weather information, from real time.

Been waiting a long time for this one to come to the next gen series x and it’s in the store for pre order with a release date of July 27th 👍 I love flight sims and this does look a beauty to be fair!

I might be in the minority here but can already pre install the game on Series X and I feel like a little kid in a sweet shop 😄 Thank god for such pleasures as these consoles I say as no matter what’s going on in life trials and tribulations we do get a lot of enjoyment and TGC is another great example 👍

I got to play this on my Series S today. After crashing into Mt Everest a couple of times I thought I better do the flight training. I was pleased to get to the stage where I did my first solo flight successfully. I then thought I'd try a circuit from and to my local airstrip so I could fly past my house. This landing wasn't quite so successful ...  |
