Golf is so great but so frustrating. -10 thru 16 in round 3, and two slow iron/wedge swings lead to a bogey-bogey finish. -8 for round 3. -30 overall. Won’t be playing round 4 today, tempo isn’t feeling so smooth.

The frustration continues. -36 with 9 holes to go. Triple bogey aids in a +2 back nine ruining a shot at top 25. -34 is definitely improvement though. I think I have a shot at competing for promo marks now that my red mark is gone. Well, the season is almost over so maybe not for too long.

Played the true sim event, +2 in round 1 was too much to overcome. -3 in round 2 (was -5 at one point) leaves me at -1, two shots away from making the cut. I’m getting there. I will soon make a cut!

Played round 1 at Portrush, -3 only. This course isn’t too bad if I can get the perfect-perfect down with the irons. Unfortunately I missed too many greens.
Also still learning how flops work... had perfect-fast pitching wedge flop at like 60-65% land at 43 yards, when perfect-perfect in 100% should land 42...

Yeah..sadly flop shots flies really too much. And depending on green's firmness and slopes the ball can run a LOT too much. Is something hb really should to fix. I'm pretty curious about this week's course. I have some difficulty to play well links. But I tested this course some week ago and I like it. Good luck for the tournament

I somehow overcame FOUR very-fast downswings on the front nine to shoot -2, and finished the round at -6. Two eagles in there! I’m feeling fine sitting at -9 these winds are crazy and I’m struggling with tempo once again.

Laughable -1 in round 3. 3 birdies 2 bogeys. Boring. Hit only 10 greens. Here goes round 4...

-5 to finish at -15. Seems likely to be good enough to avoid a demotion mark. Course (Portrush) constricted nicely, just not my cup of tea. Never a flat shot from the fairway, pins on the edge of false fronts/sides.

Due to being out of town later this week I need to play all my rounds early, so who knows how that’ll go. I started with TST today. Played all 4 rounds just in case I did make the cut..
Round 1 shot -2 and round 2 shot -1, for a -3 at the cut. I think this course is pretty easy and that won’t make the cut, oh well. Getting better.
Round 3 and 4 were +2 and +3 so back to +2 overall for the tournament (if I make the cut). Brutal pin placements, most notably hole 18 in round 4. Wtf. Whatever.
May play round 1 of the CC-C event tonight sometime but want to save some excitement for Monday and Tuesday.

Didn’t post here last week, but received my first promo mark at -30 and first made cut on TST also! This week madden comes out Friday so trying to finish up my rounds before then.
Played the first two of CC-C and shot -4 on all four nines lol, sitting at -16 thru 2 (bogey free). Might be in play for another promo mark we shall see.
Played the first two of TST also and ugh! I had a personal best -5 in round 1 even with 3 bogies! And then plopped my first shot in round 2 in the water. And then two more in the water on hole 4 (to card a 9 on the 17th handicap hole!). Settled down after that and finished the round at E. So, -5 at the cut and not sure I’ll make it.

Since there’s no CC-C season 6 thread yet, I’ll post here, which I haven’t done in a while.
I the off-season I made the switch to using my right thumb/right stick, which took a bit of getting used to but I think I’m back to about the level I was before.
Nervous in round 1 of the CC-C event for whatever reason, but shook off the nerves somehow after starting +1 thru the first couple holes to a -10 finish (2 eagles helped). Looking forward to competing for a win each week as I try to move up the ranks.
Think I’ll make a donation soon, as I’ve been feeling extra guilty lately about getting so much fun out of this community for free (and when the game I also got for free).
Go Browns!!!!!

As not to clog up the CC-C thread with personal statistics, I’ll share here. I logged all of my tournaments to-date. That’s 8 last season and 6 this season. Since July I’ve been on the decline. My best finish among masters clubs is 34th since July. Yet during July I finished top 15 among masters four consecutive weeks. My round 4 scores are much lower after July. Similar story for rounds 1 and 2. Somehow round 3 is going the opposite way. I like looking at numbers and I’m trying to think of the best way to track my play over time. What stats to keep track of that aren’t too cumbersome to do manually. Anyway.

October is looking a lot more like July than it is August or September. Glad to be out of the horrid slump. Now let’s keep it rolling.

November is shaping up as my best month yet! I need one more promo mark to reach CC-B. This week will be my 20th official tournament with masters clubs, all in CC-C.
