Hi guys,
what are are you using to tag garden beds, the course I’m currently mapping has lots of distinct mulched garden beds with shrubbery throughout the course and I want to tag them in OSM as it will save a lot of time but there is no option in OSM to tag ‘Mulch’. Thinking of using the ‘woods’, will this work?

Yes, but if you are also marking out actual wooded areas as well you'll just have to remember to check which are which once you import

Not tagging actual wooded areas, just want to be able to bring in all the mulched garden beds. I’ve started tagging them under water for now as I was awaiting a response so I might change them to Woods and send to the game to see how it looks, thanks Han

It will give you the shape of the mulch area, which is what really matters. It will more than likely come into the game as cart path. You can change the texture of the surface once in the designer. If you want to see...check out IvanhoeClub(Forest/Marsh), it's a 27 hole site and I have 18 published now. Look around at the unfinished part of the course. All the areas that are cart path texture will be either mulch areas or tall grass. they are marked as wooded in OSM. It's the Prairie 9 holes. I will be finishing those soon.

Unless you are already marking out any specific areas of rough you could always tag them as that ?
