I had to give this one a go, as I'm also working on a highlands course and I'm hoping to steal some ideas
You've done well to cover some of those hills in bushes without it looking artificial, I really struggle getting the bushes to look good, and I don't have the patience to plant that many.
I see what you mean about the greens being challenging - particularly the edges of the green. There are lots of upturned-saucer greens with runnoff areas that caught me out a few times (I was generally trying to steer clear of those slopes, but misjudged the wind a few times - if I played it again I'd play even more conservatively.).
Liked the double greens, but there are some very severe slopes between them - e.g. hole 4, is it possible to putt up the hill from the 14th to the 4th green?
Anyway, I played in high southwesterly winds, pin 2, back tees, everything else on default. A few specific things I noted down as I was playing:
Hole 3: love the two lines of bunkers either side of the fairway, looks great from the tee. Raised green with a grassy bank and fairway beside it is a nice idea - I am a sucker and always try and reach par 5s in 2, luckily pushed my approach and landed on the fairway, not on the bank in the grass which is probably where I would have ended up had the approach landed on the green.
Hole 6: tough pin position, but somehow managed to par it.
Hole 7: some grass encroaching onto the fairway on the right of the green
Hole 10: pin is on edge of a yellow slope
Hole 11: if you lowered the first half of the fairway a little, would have a nice view of the whole hole from the tee.
Hole 12: nasty on the right side of the green with this pin position. Which is where I ended up. It was obvious it was going to be a problem though, I should have avoided it.
Hole 14: I think it needs a better view from the tee, most of the hole is hidden behind a mound in front of the tee.
Hole 15: grass on fairway to left of green
In case it is useful, here is my scorecard (I enjoyed the front 9 more than the back 9
)
