A LiDAR RCR
Canyata Golf Club is an ultra-exclusive course in southeast Illinois designed by Michaal Benkusky. Privately owned by Gerald Forsythe, this course averages around 200 rounds (yes, 200) per year.
For tee selection I recommend Gold tees for master clubs, Black or Gold for pro, and Blue or Black for beginner.
I'd like to credit NobleMan for helping me out a bit with the OSM on this one. We had a misunderstanding where he thought I was looking for someone else to complete the course, and as a result he helped me out with drawing 5-6 holes. Doesn't sound like much but the imagery for this one was particularly blurry and took longer than usual. NobleMan if it weren't for you this course still wouldn't be coming for another month or so, after Black Rock.
A couple notes on things I did or didn't do when making this course:
-The Gold tees have four fictional tee boxes which add a total of around 80-100yds to the course distance (holes 4, 5, 11, 14). This was to preserve hole strategy and design intent for master clubs where there was available land to build them into the course naturally.
-I omitted cart paths, even though the course has them. They're very well hidden by mounds but considering how mundane the available cart path textures look (or at least what I'm aware of) I decided they'd look out of place on this kind of course. Most people walk it anyway, so all the bridges remain.
-Many hours of work went into the green contours. They were full of LiDAR data artifacts, and considering how unlikely it is this course will ever be made again for a video game, I wanted to get it right the first time. Aside from data artifacts, my goal was to keep green alterations to zero.
EDIT: Forgot to include that for DAM members there are two goats on the course. One is a little easier to find than the other. Happy goat searching, or should I say...goat hunting? :/
Pictures to follow soon!

Shameless bump. See how many goats y'all can find on this course.

I don't know much about this course but loved the layout. Managed to get lucky and ace the 8th so I would say that was my favourite hole , great course .

I enjoyed my round on Canyata Golf Club, thanks for creating this Lidar course for the community! Being from Illinois myself (although I've never played this in RL), it has a bit more meaning seeing a solid Illinois course to play!
