Trying to create a course in Michigan called Grey Walls in Marquette, Michigan.
Lat/Lon 46.53,-87.43
This course has 6 different Laz and metafiles.
Got from USGS lidar point data (3DEP)
USGA Lidar point Cloud MI Marquette 2015
137635 LAS 2018
137632
140635
140632
137637
140637
Error report could not determine Lidar projections.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

After looking over other member problems I tried using Force Lidar 2252 and got Chads tool to work.

I checked this out for you since I am really interested in seeing Greywalls. Did 2252 really work for you? That wasn't working for me, but 2251 did. If you have any trouble with the file just PM your e-mail and I can send it to you. Looks pretty awesome.

It should be 2251 for "that part" of Michigan that's on its own. Michigan North

2252 worked for me. I stopped working on it because it looked like someone had already started it when I looked at it inopenstreetmap. I've played it once and thought it was great. I'm going to try 2251 just to see if there was a difference.

I looked at the changesets on OSM and it looks like mayday_golf83 was maybe working on it about 3 months ago. Might want to check with him and confirm it was him, and see if that project is still a go for him. Would love to see this one finished. |

Yeah, I had a look at it and did the OSM. 2251 was the code I used IIRC. I’d say if you guys want to do it, have at it. Between the CC contest and a couple of other projects, Greywalls is pretty far down on my list right now.

It should be 2251 for "that part" of Michigan that's on its own. Michigan North Would you happen to know how to get Lidar for central Ohio? I gave it a try last night, with no luck. I look g for Lidar for a course called “ Golf Club of Dublin”. It is not far from Muirfield ( which I believe is one of your recent courses). I have really enjoyed that bye the way. I went back through your tutorial and looked at the portion of the video where you discussed the force Lidar codes and tried a couple of them and don’t think I was doing it correctly or not using the correct codes. I have the course marked on OSM but haven’t started any mapping yet. Any help would be much appreciated. |
