Sorry guys..but i need some help, now. Really. I have an issue that i just can't figure out. I'm working by two months on a list of courses pretty well detailed with the intention to share it with everyone could be interested (but details are not important now). The premise is that i'm not too good with excel, but studying upon the whole thing i made a good work i think, pretty polished..but i never shared a sheet before,so i don't knew what could be the best way to share it, giving to anyone the chance to have the access with no need to download anything, even using a phone. Searching, i found only two ways to do it. First of all i tried with a google sheet, cause it seemed to me te easiest way to do everything... but for some reason, after i upload the excel file on it,it asks to download the file cause it says is too big (and this sound strange cause is just around 200 kb..maybe less. But in the end it just seems don't work). So i'm no sure that in this way the file should be visible for everyone. Then i tried to use OneDrive, the cloud offered by microsoft and it seems to work, but i have now those questions, needing some answer : 1) if i use OneDrive to share it,do you know if everyone could see that excel tab even in their phones? Or is needed to have the Office suite? 2) do you know someone here in this forum who knows this things well enough to help me and to tell me at least if i'm doing something wrong and/or to figure out how to use google sheet? Cause is absolutely possible that i'm just doing something in the wrong way. 3) someone of you knows if they are better ways to share an excel file resulting in the easiest acces way is possible for everyone, even using phones? Thank you for every kind of help

paulus I tried to save it as csv, but doing so a lot of data just disappeared and it looks also pretty awful. I wish just to know if someone can say this page or if is really unaccessible as it seems to be without downloading it everytime. So now i just try to link this sheet and it would be great if someone of you could tell me what and if the page can be opened without the need to be downloaded. But still i can't understand why this problem. I'm absolutely sure that the size is ok both for dimensions and number of cells (They are more or less 32.000). It's so frustrating the fact i can understand why it give me those problems...And everywhere i search and read, i can find nowhere a reason to have this issues. I don't know.. But is useless if everytime this list should be downloaded..even cause it is intented as a constant WIP, obviously. Well..i just don't know what to do. I'm sure i miss something...but just i can't figure out exactly what. drive.google.com/file/d/1xRhiBUJFFN7cipdzUIM8fjf6sQ4dtTQy/view?usp=sharing

It says it's too large to preview. It might have something to do with the cell borders as they extend a long way - try deleting all rows and columns you aren't actually using (highlight, right click and delete rows/columns) and try again?

Thank you mate. I'll take a look when i came back at home, but if i remember well i already checked this..and the borders should be bolded just where there is something wroted. But is even true that some day ago i decided to put other columns with data and it could be that i made this mistake. I'll check and i'll try again. Thanks, anyway. Really.

It might have something to do with the cell borders as they extend a long way - try deleting all rows and columns you aren't actually using (highlight, right click and delete rows/columns) and try again? It was a pretty good advice. It was true, there were a lot of borders too long. I fixed them, but still it said the file was too big. So i tried to delete every border. But still it says is too big. And i could go mad cause the file is 197kb with borders, 129kb without. This doesn't make any sense. It should to work, but it just doesn't. And i can't find any clue reading here and there on internet. I don't know exactly what to do, honestly. I could use OneDrive, i already tested it and it works quite good, but i'm not sure it could be accessible for everyone, shared in this way, cause i suppose is needed to have Office. But i don't think that anyone can have Office on the phone.. and the only reason of all this work was just the idea to make it accessible for everyone from every device. Well..I just don't know. Anyway, i wrote this just cause i wish to thank you. I really appreciated your advice.

It's a very clever idea. But before to try it, i'm trying something i should do immediately. Instead to create an excel tab and THEN try to visualize it on google drive...this time i'm creating a tab just ON google drive, using the Google's tool. I do copy/paste for every column and until now it seems to work well. I can see the file every time i open it. The only things that probably i have to create again manually are the notes on some cell (a lot of cell, actualky 👀) to give useful informations about some course. But if it works, maybe i'm near to solve every problem. If i was a bit more smart i should tried this from the start. But well...late is better then never.

Have you tried just copying only the cells in which you have data to a brand new spreadsheet and uploading that one?

Have you tried just copying only the cells in which you have data to a brand new spreadsheet and uploading that one? Is exactly what i decided to do. Instead to copy an excel file on Google Drive,i created a tab on a Google Sheet. It seems is working perfectly. The only little issue is that for some reason the dates of the published courses it messes up, when i try to order the courses by date, so i think i'll need to recopy them manually. And i have to write again all the comments and notes i wroted in a lot of cells.. But this don't matters. It will needs just a bit of more time and work...but after two months and almost 1000 courses viewed and more or less 30000 cells compiled, this extra-work just can't be scare me! I hope that for the end of the week i'll publish this list, after some test. Thank you again for the advices

Hey I had a look at your course, and it was actually a great creation. Thank you for sharing and keep it up. Google sheets can be of help even to us ha ha! I think a great addition in the future would be to track more personalized results for each player in order to get data that can be useful when it comes to personal improvement!I know that it doesn't sound like an easy task for sure, but if you look for apps like Aircrate that allow you to transfer data from any other source you can imagine blog.coupler.io/airtable-to-google-sheets/ would be of help as a heads up. Looking forward to more applications like this.
