Can't determine breaks without grid, they say... Unrealistic and impossible to play with wind speed indicator off, they say.... All that taking assists off is doing is bringing scores down to an accepable level. I'm a player that hangs around the cut line on the Euro Tour. Shoot around par in these "No training wheels" rounds, which is pretty much true to real life.... Refreshing to actually miss a 4 foot putt once in a while too. Urge you to give it a try and stick it out for the four rounds in j3y7e9's NO TRAINING WHEELS tournaments - tgctours.proboards.com/thread/1653/grid-training-wheels |

Two awesome shots there buddy  Just one problem I see with turning all the aids off for PC users.. There is a glitch on PC where the flag does not always generate.. Sometimes up to 10 of the 18 holes will be flagless.. This is a problem especially since many will use the motion of the flag to judge wind speed. I do at least. I have no idea whether this is true for the other platforms. |

I've played round 1 @lunenberg and apart from some really dodgy putt reading I shot -2, absolutely overjoyed thought It was great fun, defo going to finish rounds 2,3,4 before time runs out, things can only get worse, lol. PS gr8 HIO McBogga.  |

There is still a fly by preview at the start of each hole that eventually focuses in on the flag.. Even with the scout cam off.. |

Here we go again!
Difficult to chip - they say.
Slopes on greens are unfair - they say.
Downhill Left to Right breaker on a heavily sloping green - No training wheels, no problem.
Difficult to aim without zoom - they say.
Now - if HB could only give us the option to hide the elevation numbers for putting (and maybe the distance to hole when on green) as well....

In light of a recent thread highlighting how impossible it is to putt without grid - felt the need to resurrect this thread....
From the Open Championship at Troon where I will end up with a mid table finish:
Can't see the breaks they say... Well, below is one of the trickier ones with a ridge. Just feed it over and let it trickle down....
Must have been a fluke... A couple of holes later. Can understand if this one looks straight to some as its uniform. But the behind the ball view gives it away. GET IN!
And then a birdie at the hardest (?) hole on the course is 12-15 winds last round... Terrible when you cant see the fairway and no scout cam, especially with no wind speed. Must be impossible unless you have played 1000 practice rounds.... Right...
