I was thinking..i'm just me that i can't really empatize with this guy? I mean..he's doing something really noticeable. Is just my impression (considering that here in Italy almost nobody cares about golf even if Molinari wins, just to say..maybe in USA the guy is well celebrated and simply i don't know it) or if it was Jordan Spieth or DJ..to not talk about the good old Phil or Tiger..to reach these results in the majors in this last years, almost everyone would talking about him as a legend or something near?
I don't know why i can't be really enthusiast about this guy. Is true that generally speaking i don't love those bionic guys and mainly long hitters..but is still true that i like Stenson,a lot. And Phil was not Ernie Els. But this guy just can't fire my passion. Someone of you guys his a fan of this guy?

Here's what I like about Koepka. He doesn't care about the nonsense that the PGA Tour hypes up, like the live under par stuff, the WGC's, the FedEx Cup. He checks out when playing the cupcake setups week to week, and locks in for the majors regardless of the setup, without complaint. That's what I always liked best about Nicklaus, and what turns me off from the Bubba and Billy Horschel types.
Here's what else I like. I'm not going to see him at every commercial break pitching banks and insurance companies, nor am I going to hear him at press conferences using a lot of words to say nothing because he's scared to alienate his corporate buddies. He's also against slow play and not afraid to say so or call people out.
Weak setups on boring courses, whiny pros, corporate shills, and slow play, those are my big hot button issues with professional golf, and he falls on my side in every one of those categories. I will admit that I don't like the bomb and gouge game that golf has turned into, but I certainly can't hold that against him. That's completely on the governing bodies, and we all know they aren't going to do anything about it.

Uh..i imagine that the huge advantage to not have a tv is that i can forget that too many sportsman had that miserable habit to become b%&3$ and pushers for some big company with their miserable, almost always liar, spots. Obviously, being golf here in italy a sport for the fews, there's not the risk to see my favorite players doing this kind of show, even having a tv. But i understand what you mean. About the long hitters..the story seems to me a bit the same that is killing the tennis (a sport that for me is already dead and gone, sadly). But is something unstoppable. The technologies changed everything. The athletic overwork of some lad made the rest. The only real difference with tennis,a big one,is that you can even tunderc@#k a ball 300 yard away..but if you don't know how to straight shots..if you don't understand the game, anyway you can't win,so i'm not too worried about this. The talent find always a way to shine, playing golf. But is clear that if you 're not able to cover some great distance,is everything much harder, at the highest levels. Thanks for these informations i don't knew. I'm happy to know he's quite a different guy..and yes,his attitude for the big events is something great..but still i can't love it in the way i love other players..even if most of them they are not big winners in the end. But i don't know exactly why. For this reason i was curious to know what are the thoughts of you guys on him.

Like DJ he is a robot. No emotions just golf. Which is fine but I think it's boring to watch. I doubt the ratings favor him. I don't know though.

It seems to me that his too emotive nature is the main reason why he losed at least two majors. But if you're talking about their ability to transmit emotion to the crowd..yes. I totally agree. I like DJ,it seems that kind of serious guy that break his back to be competitive..but i just can't support him. I love a too much different kind of players..those like G-Mac. Or the borderline ones, just as Pato Cabrera Reality is that i can't find other guys that makes my heart beat faster. I have just Phil. Then i can't find no one that really knows how made me jump from my seat watching him play.

I like DJ but his wife more š I'm a tiger fan. No one does like he does. I don't take in count Tiger. A legend don't need to be supported. He stands alone. And for me there was not even the need for him to return and to win this master to already be sure about this. (But i'm sooo happy that he realize also this thing!) And i was (and still am i) just disgusted for the way almost everybody judges his private life, the public trial he suffered. I hate all this for various reasons. First..they crucifixed him cause he was a junkie about anti-pain pills...But they can just imagine what can be to have to play and perform always as "Tiger" when your back is starting to be broken? Then..he was a sex addicted..and so? He was an awful husband, beacuse of this? Probably true.. But, who cares? I think that the greatest sportmans are just like artists. I mean...a lot of great writer, or painters or musician are or were absolute dumb a$$holes, junkheads, alcoholic and/or horrible humans. But who cares? An artist it has to be judged just for his art. Cause only his art really matters and will be remembered. His legacy. And then this idea that a sportman has to be also a moral example, for me is something absolute hypocrite. We all already have in our lives the people that has to be our moral example. And they are our parents. Then family. Then friends. Exactly just, as now, i'm and always i'll try to be a moral example for my daughter. And so go on. To a sportman i can ask just to entertain me and to compete fairly. And if he's a champ or a GOAT, i can ask just to astonish me everytime he can..showing me that everything is possible. It seems so easy to me...

Brooks comes to play and collect his trophy. Emotions are for women, just go do your business and win. I loved when he shunned a kiss from his annoying looking gf pre-4th round.....I wouldn't even have my wife & kids there more less some easily expendable gf, who needs that distraction when you have a major to finish?
