Hi all Curious to know if when you play in the weekly tournaments the wind conditions are the same for all on each given round? So if the first round it's a gentle breeze, and then round 2 it's strong, it's the same for all playing in that tournament no matter when they play the round - hope that makes sense

Total crap shoot, the wind is always changing. Wow, really? So if you have the time you can just continue to keep logging in and wait for gentle conditions before commencing a round? I ask as I'm not a good player by any means - in the Champions Tour - and played a round today in 15+ (at times) wind, and the ghost players I had playing against me hardly seem to be impacted at any stage by the wind whereas mine were being dramatically effected by it.

If you have a lot of time yes you are right, it changes slowly, but does change and may just get worse. Hard to tell with ghosts sometimes as some people use draw and fade to beat the wind, but yeah if you played in that wind its fairly likely only a few others did as well, with a week to play, some will just come back later when it's not as windy. Been a pretty big gripe, and the magots have chewed on that horse fairly hard now, as it's pretty dead.

But it should be said, HB are looking into a way of making wind in tournaments controllable so everybody has consistent wind for each round.

Cheers for that
That's a totally unfair system then - massively unfair.
People can draw and fade all they like but it's when you hit a 100% drive sweet and seem to be 2 maybe 3 clubs lengths behind the companions it becomes an issue. A huge advantage hitting an 8-9 iron to a green compared to 5-6, or being able to reach the par 5 in 2 opposed to 3.
I should have looked in the forum more for info on this before I purchased - that's a game breaker for me as I haven't the time to come back and wait for easier conditions.

This argument of "fairness" makes me laugh. Wind and weather conditions can change by the hour in real life and I've watched many tournaments where players' scores are affected by changing winds, rain, etc. You don't hear the pros moaning about how unfair it is. And after all, it's just a game people. There's plenty of unfairness in the world that's of far more importance than this.

On game you can choose to go out at x y z a b c d e d f etc time and choose whatever conditions you like. So laugh all you like, bottom line it gives an unfair advantage to those who can commit the most time

Yes it does occur, but it is very much more the exception than it is the rule. What is more typical is that courses in the morning are usually easier than afternoons because of less wind and softer fairways/greens. That is why players flip-flop starting times on the first two days. On the weekends the players with similar scores tee off at or around the same time to ensure similar conditions with those close to each other in the standings.
