This week on the web, we continue the policy of bringing newer designers the the fore with The Isle of Ely by aron7 . This is just Aron’s second course and his first tour course which allows him to join a illustrious group of designers to get their debut on the web.com, many who have gone on to become some of the most well known names here on tgctours. Over the next month or so, we will have another two debuts here on the web making it the biggest season yet for new designers. Don’t worry though, we still have room for the old fogeys of design on the web with courses from some of the more established names due to make a appearance in the future. After the brutal winds of last week, this week bring a variety of conditions which makes the course play differently each day, bringing different strategies into play, plan your shots carefully this week, driver from the tee will not always be the smart option. The Course of Ely is a beautiful course that will bring all the elements of a good round into play, an easier course compared to what has been played recently but carelessness will still be punished. I would also like to mention gregfordyce from the tgctours review show. He brought the course to my attention so if anyone has a bad round or a bad shot, it’s his fault. Good luck everyone and have fun.

Missed cut for me, played poorly on a great course, and got trolled with some very fasts and slows 🥺 Could even be strikes. Will finish out the last 2 rounds for fun, 5 Star course in my opinion. Writing this cooling down from a 4 putt on 13 from about 4m in R2, unless I can string together 5 eagles to finish out, I’m screwed lol.
Good luck all 👍🇦🇺👍
Edit - Predicting -14 for the cut.

Yes very nice course indeed, i like that there are quite a few holes that give you decisions, not always knowing if you will carry with Driver... Round 1 had easy conditions, my tempo was good, nailed lots of shots, putted well for a 1st round -12 Went straight into round 2 where conditions were maxed out, yet my tempo was now really poor, strange, had a vs downswing and several slows, had to drain several long putts to save par.. -6
so -18 at the cut with 1 bogie, should be safe but need to do better

Second web event and fingers crossed my first made cut, but will be close at-15 I think.

6 P/P strokes the entire round - not playing Round 2 again so I can get to 4 demotion strikes. 1 more next week and I'm happy back playing Pro Clubs in CC-A
So sad/annoyed at the state of this game on Xbox.

-7, E = missed cut
I've about had it with the same sh%$ every week...500 yard par 4's into hurricane winds with concrete greens.

I know it is frustrating when you do not play quite as expected but fairness to the scheduler it was only round 2 that had hurricane conditions with everything else maxed out, the survival round if you like, the other 3 rounds were very fair, as early scores are showing Stick with it, the scores will come

I had a lot of trouble with a specific tempo swing, VF down together with a SLOW back. Go figure lol -7 -7 -7 and -15 My swing wasn't great the first three rounds but my putting didn't help. Second round i could have easily been - 10 but i had 3 bogeys and very crappy putting. Went into the last round hoping for a better round and had no hopes of a top 10 or 25, but knew a really good round could put me back in that picture and i played great. I could have easily gone to - 18 but missed my chances, specially the last 3 holes... I ACTUALLY HOLED OUT PAR 4s 13th and 14th for eagle , all of that went into my head thinking i could actually get that -18 and killed me, ran out of gas lol

Love it when you have to fight for your pars. Great choice this week

This could of been another special week for me..... If I could putt Went -10 in R1, I am very happy with that, then entered R2... I actually shot -9, in those conditions... Also had 3, that's right THREE lip out putts for eagle and another 2 putts that sat within 2 inches from the hole!! If they went in, I would be comfortable at the top after 2 rounds, instead im 3 off the lead on -19. I will play later in the week to decide my fate this week! GL all!!

Rd1 started off like an express train -4 thru 4, then got the shakes sweaty palms fast downswings missed putts still -4 after 9 and back to normality, decided to halt for a coffee break, still shaking but at least the fasts had stopped, then a 3 putt at the par 5 11th so deep intake of breath and plod on, picked up a couple of more birds to finish -9, happy with the result but it was a case of what could have been, looking forward to rd 2 believe its a aim and hope windy day, oh joy.
