I compiled a short list of some unbelievably exclusive golf courses yesterday for fun. I stumbled upon another one randomly yesterday, Heronwood Farm in VA, which was the inspiration for this. The super exclusive CA one I had referenced is The Institute, there's Anne Arundell Mannor in MD (might have the poor data quality problem r n), Bidermann in DE is extremely low profile but might have more members than any other course on this list, Morefar in NY/CT is apparently virtually unknown, Cherokee Plantation in SC, Wolf Point in TX. Perhaps Nanea in Hawaii would count but apparently the data is not so good for that area. Canyata in southern IL fits nicely into this list but I got that one covered.
Heronwood, Bidermann, and Morefar look like they could be decent choices for a first course if they have good quality data available.
Any interest in some of these?

Thanks, I'd never heard of this place! It's kind of like the concept I'm going for in the CC contest, just a dude that builds a golf course in his backyard for himself to enjoy. I'm going full bunkerless though (hopefully).

I had no idea it was that nice! Someone really needs to make that course if the data is decent =)

I requested Lidar data for wolf point, but I don’t believe I ever received a response back. I too would love to see this one.

I love the idea of making exclusive courses available to us!

Just wait a bit on that one: there's a new 2018 data set coming that will be available to the public at TNM. The older one was taken just before the course was built, and the accuracy parameters on it are kinda poor too.
This is what I found for courses on my list
Heronwood Farm VA (good enough data I think) Bidermann DE (good data) The Institute CA (good data soon) Anne Arundell Mannor MD (bad data?) Manofar CT (bad data) Porcupine Creek CA (bad data) Cherokee Plantation SC (good enough data? 1.4m point spacing, idk) Wolf Point TX (good data soon) Canyata IL (good enough data) Due Process Stables NJ (good data: no longer super ultra exclusive but was originally)

There is 2014 LIDAR data for Wolf Point that is public but when I imported it, it didn't appear to be very accurate.

Camargo Club is exclusive enough for this list but many golfers have actually heard of it...from what I have been told, not even a membership at a 'Pine Valley tier' club will get you on.
Regarding ease of access (or the opposite in this case), how does Chicago Golf Club compare to Camargo?

We already have a good rendition of Chicago in the game, so I'd still go with Camargo, although in reality I think Chicago would be the tougher course to get on. The fact that Camargo is ultra exclusive and widely unheard of makes it a more exciting choice in my opinion.

Cherokee Plantation (Yemassee, SC) is limited to no more than 25 members. Initiation is $1M followed by $85,000 a year. No web address and very, very few photos of the course. Just saw that this has already been mentioned.

YIKES! That's balderdash. Who the hell would ever want to belong there unless you're a mobster or unbelievably snobby? But if we got decent data for it, we could build it for TGC

Bluejack National (Tiger's first US design, 250K initiation fee, 30 minutes from my house) Whispering Pines (Jack Nickalus design, only open around 6 months out of the year I believe? Suppose to be incredible)

Maybe the best looks at Cherokee Plantation that can be had.
