First and foremost. Tx for the opportunity to compete against design along with some of the best. A first designer comp for me. Lets hope I know what I'm doing? So a few holes in but not feeling this course yet.... I supoose it will all fall in place with planting and sculpting... or just fall apart😎
Currently I have a par 3 over 230
1 driveable par 4
1 hole with no bunkers
and a 3 shot par 5 and hooefully more to come......
And no I wont be streaming my design... it is an absolute comedy show specially on this xbox piece of work......
Note to self... TGC 2020 = pc... but as they say hindsight is 2020🤤🤓

Woke up this morning from a weeks' slumber and realised this was the CCC design comp..... should have waited for the rookie design comp🤤🤤... Oh well... time to step up... get better... make more time... soon...FAST!!!.... yeah underdog...NOW. ....Who the dog?!.. see it, feel it, breath baby (as Reeb would say) and...GO.😎😎

Normally I would build my course by fully completing one hole at a time..... this time around I laid out my 18 holes with greens, tees and fairways and a bit of "building" certain "things". NOW I'm almost ready to go back and make some major changes as I rushed to get some of those first few holes laid down (2 months or not, it is amazing how that publishing deadline eats on your mind.. for a first comp designer like me) ,and 1 hole that I completely hate ..... but.. 1 week into this and Im still relaxed as to where I am with this course.

Weekly status update:
1.I havent done any designing in the last 3 days, but will hopefully get stuck into it this weekend again.
2. After Mt. Liberty I vowed not to do another xbox designed course... think I even mentioned it to Greg or Terry during my course playthrough... YET.. here I am in a competition against the best of the best.
3. Still so much to do.. changes..club house... a standard clubhouse will just not do for this course.
4. Looking at the course I still do not know how I want it planted... not inspired at all yet.
5. However... still enough time to get things done... no panic yet.

It is Thursday and time for my weekly status update...
Our friend and also a supporter of my current course in this comp Tenahka is still MIA in our community. In support of TK's situation where ever he may be I will only post an update next week..... we all hope to hear from you soon mate.

Thursday update.... have not done much regarding the course this week.... however I am at the planting phase which means Im pretty much done before final play testing starts..... slowly but surely over, under, jurasic planting this one....... maybe another pic to follow in due course😎

Here is a pic of the 3rd green with some lighting although I still need to decide on the default time of day for the course  and I think I have taken quite a few risks, apart from being in this comp and sticking to a tropical theme after Artic Fury released his latest course, why be conventional. This green is in the western part of the course and its pretty dark and eerie and I have darkened the rocks to go along with the theme on the green  looking back further east on the course at the 2 mountain heads in the distance where the sun will be depending on what time of day I decide on  |
