Throwing my hat into the ring for my first design competition. Expect and old school Scottish style course of the style designed pre ww 2 . Best of luck to all the other competitors.

The requirements I am looking to incorporate are:

Are at least one driveable par 4

At least two holes with zero bunkers

At least one blind tee shot

At least three Par 4's under 400 yards

At least one template green complex

Total course yardage no more than 6750 yards

I can confirm this course will feature all the design requirements. Thanks in no small part to a Law (and not of the rules variety). It is also going to be in the Highlands theme.

Routing is complete and the first fairways and greens have been laid out.

Here are a few pictures of my progress so far. Sculpting to be refined and planting to be done.

Hole 1. 449 yard Par 4. No bunkers but a mound divides the fairway in two with the right hand side givng a better approach to the green. no bunkers on this hole.

Hole 2  381 yard Par 4  Narrow fairway set amid the dunes so any drive that is not to wild will kick towards the centre of the fairway. A wedge should be left to the large double green (the only one on the course)

Hole 3 598 yard Par 5 Longest hole on the course is a dogleg left par 5 that plays up the hill. Only reachable in two with a strong tailwind but the green is not receptive to anything longer than a short iron

Hole 4 329 Yard Par 4 Short drivable par 4 that plays along the bottom of the escarpment means any ball that alight in the greenside bunker is looking at par at best. The green is also divided by a ridge.

Hole 5 174 Yard Par 3. A reverse redan. The Kicker ensures that any pin is accessible no matter how seemingly tucked.
