Greetings all,
Not sure if this has been mentioned or thought of before but it would be really good for the game I believe if the tournament windows for play were shortened for a couple of good reasons.
First it would simulate a more regimented Tee Time which is what competitive tournaments like this are all about.
Second it would tighten the window for wind variation.
Third but not last would be an increase in practice round activity Monday through Wednesday on the hosting course.
It's pretty simple and would only double the tournament creation load. I know that's a lot but I think the benefits and the score tracking benefits would be worth it.
I'm sure there are some more benefits but those are the main ones I can think of off the top of my head.
It works like this;
For every tournament of the various tours create a Thursday - Friday tournament for each week and a matching Saturday-Sunday tournament for each week which are only available to play Thursday-Friday and Saturday-Sunday. That gives everyone 48 hours to post 2 rounds for each section of the 2 tournament event (tgctours.com Web.com week% T/F ; tgctours.com Web.com week% S/S) This would also consolidate activity on the website and throughout the TGCT community.
Really think this would be a Win/Win.
Thanks for your consideration
-Mike

You mentioned a couple of good points there, but I think you forgot the one BIG disadvantage:
If the playing window is that short, lots of people won't find the (right) time to play their rounds and submit their scores accordingly.
I think that's the main reason why this is not going to happen. And honestly, I'm happy if it doesn't, because real life is sometimes fu**ing you up, but I still wanna be part of this fantastic tour. And a playing window of a week is giving me enough time to do so.

Been suggested plenty of times before and generally isn't feasible as not giving most enough time. I can't commit to 48 hour windows and nor can a lot on here.
It's unfortunate as has always been the ideal.situation.but simply not going to happen

A lot of people have to play that weekend before just to get those 2 rounds in before cuts... Travel for work, etc... In principle your idea is good, but would cause a decent percentage of players to potentially no be able to play. Rather than find ways to minimize the wind, HB needs to come up with a Tourney wind solution.

I really enjoyed my 2015 masters Preview NO SCOUT CAM tourney . No scout and auto club selection turned off. Suprisingly made putting more difficult as you had to really worry about your aiming marker.

Yeah...it was late...just kinda thinking outside or from the comments inside the box. Doesn't make sense in the light of day.

I would like to see a poll taken of where people on PGA and Euro tours stand in regards to aids off. Game is so much more enjoyable to me that way vs the current format because it's just way too easy now. All the ridiculous scores have ruined the fun of this game and if it wasn't for no aids and this site, I'd be content not playing golf until PG comes out.
HB said this game was supposed to simulate avg Joe playing a round of golf but Pro's don't hit this well off the tee with driver. Way too many flaws they need to iron out and all we get from HB is use shot shape to make driving harder. For as good as their post launch support is, certain things they don't address are just mind boggling.
