Just found this, that looks so refreshing and it seems to give complete control over the edits and not just limited to certain shape combinations and certain items.

The designer look's beast but the game play make's me want to throw up, I know it's only alpha or early access or whatever but god those graphics and animations look horrendous.

I agree it plays like garbage, I don't plan on playing it much if at all, but that art canvas they give you, is unlimited nearbouts, I will be designing courses there just for the pure fun of art itself, even if the courses get little or no plays.
I really hope this will intice HB to get on the ball and get either till a more textures or allow us to import our own.

Game looks great, but from what I've seen so far plays like it's a 90's PC golf game. That's not surprising... This game is from a bunch of people who worked on the old Microsoft Links games. In fact Mike Jones, the presenter giving the running commentary in the video, was probably THE most prominent course designer using the Arnold Palmer Course Designer tool. His courses were incredibly detailed. You can see some screens of what he did for Links 2001 and 2003 on his site mikejgolfdesign.com/Certainly has the look and feel from the videos of a Links game though.
