I was already thinking of this change before, when i noticed there was barely any difference in prize money as you go down the top 10-20 in my tour, and have just seen that the prize money on web tour is MUCH less than challenege circuit?! That seems off to me..
So my suggestion is, partly to encourage masters usage (what i'm always banging on about, i know!) that prize money be significantly more as you go up each rung in the ladder, (and more spread out too- eg 1st gets a huge payout, 2-5 get big, 6-20 fairly big, then it stops dropping steadily,) and wgr affected much more as you go up each rung. (to be fair, i'm not sure how WGR is calculated, so it may already be close to how i envisage my idea...)
I really do feel that a pro club tour, as proposed for next tgct season, should be viewed more as an extension of the amateur tour, and the prize money and wgr should reflect this.
This would potentially also help combat the issue of people barely getting by in higher tours; where the motivation to keep going could be aided by striving for wgr points and prize money. At least then you can see that you are performing "better" (emotive word, i know) than people on lower tours, using "easier" (emoitve word, i know) clubs than you...
I feel the need to say again- i realise this subject gets people's backs up and people are strongly in one camp or another, but i don't mind the opposing view to me! I'm simply saying something that i personally would like to see; it would make the tour more appealing to me. We're allowed to make suggestions that we would like to see, and that's all i'm doing!
I feel this wouldn't be such a "controversial" subject in other gaming communities, where difficulty settings and rewards are more clerly demarkated...(not a criticism!)

1. For the remainder of this season, I do not think players should get a bonus for choosing Master clubs. They are optional and should not be endorsed as the "better way to play." I realize that many players enjoy the challenge more, and I realize that there is a greater challenge to using them.
Hopefully, in next year's game, this becomes a moot point. Otherwise a more equitable system for Challenge Circuit where Masters play against Masters and Pros play against Pros may need to be put into place.
2. Money earned across tours doesn't influence standings in any way. Money earned across flights in the Challenge Circuit does. The CC money payouts are based on both the in-flight standings and the overall master CC leaderboard (different leaderboards for CC-Pro and CC-Am). It's a complex system that, ultimately determines which CC players qualify for the playoffs for a chance to earn a Web.com tour card for next season (provided that we return to the system that was in place at the end of season 2).
3. WGR is heavily weighted by Tour/Flight and is the only way to compare players across flights.

Thanks for the response.
1. agreed. It was more a suggestion moving forward, next season.
2. I realise it doesnt affect standings directly, it was a suggestion for how to make people feel more motivated across the tours, as a means of comparison. Couldn't the system for the web tour card quals remain in place AND do my suggestion?
3. I thought so, thanks. I still feel WGR AND money would be a cool way to add some "reward" based stuff to the community...
