View from the first tee of the Donald Ross Course in French Lick, IN. Planting the grass is tedious, but I’m making progress. It’s a shame that you can’t see much

of the grasslands in the distance. It’s a feature of this course that gives it a lot of character.

sroel908: Green firmness is more about how the ball interacts with the putting surface when you hit an approach into it. A soft green is more receptive, and will allow more backspin than a firm one. A firm green will have less bite and more rollout. Nov 18, 2024 15:57:00 GMT -5
