Hello fellas, I've played on TGC Tours since towards the end of TGC 2 and found the game to be fine on PC, but fast forward to this game on PC and I feel its just an inconsistent mess. The Tempo of the swings feels hit or miss every single day even though i've used the same routine and grip since I joined this great site. Just wondering if people have experienced similar with this game, I use Ds4 windows and my Ds4 controller for my rounds and practice rounds when playing on PC just to be clear.
Any tips? Maybe drop down clubs to get a groove going again, but I am on Web.com and obviously don't wanna lose that status, but my game is a mess atm. Maybe I can make a return to form like Tiger did this past weekend.
Thanks for any responses.

I've been given a lot of negative feedback whenever I've criticised the tempo swing. In a nutshell, the tempo is not consistent across all platforms. It's not even consistent on the same platform, considering the number of times I've gone through 9 or 10 holes with barely an issue, and then I can't hit anything other than a fast or slow swing. The tempo was a good idea, but it just can't be implemented accurately enough across all platforms so everyone is on a level playing field. It should be ditched, or either give players the opportunity to customise their own swing.

I agree, The swing as a whole in 2019 has been a step back imo, feels super inconsistent. I do like the game it's just annoying that the tempo and swing itself feels super inconsistent each and every time.

Speaking as a PC player (through all 3 versions of TGC), yup gotta agree, at least with Master clubs. One of the main reasons I play Pro clubs - the inconsistencies with the tempo on Master clubs drove me to the point where I was basically going to stop playing. I like some challenge, but it's also important to have fun, and the tempo being all over the map on those clubs was making it not fun at ALL for me. I still have the occasional wierd tempo thing but for the most part if I have a tempo issue now it really IS my own fault and I can usually feel myself doing it when it occurs, as opposed to on the Master clubs where I swear I can swing the club EXACTLY the same twice in a row, but the 2nd time is very fast and the first time was perfect-perfect.

Good to know it's not just me. Im in a similar situation except I will probably keep grinding out rounds with the master clubs just to stay on Web.com

Unfortunately, I haven't got the patience to put-up with a game that is forcing tempo issues on you. The point is I can even predict them. My wife often sits with me while I'm playing, occasionally I'll say to her, "here's a classic example where I'll receive a slow swing". Smallish green, that has a steep slope containing a bunker to the right of the green. And just to prove my point, I'll hit 3 or 4 practice swings first, all receiving a perfect swing, then hit my ball for real, and yes you've guessed it, slow swing, ball in bunker. My wife must have said to me a hundred times, "why do you play a game that is controlling everything You do". Fortunately, it's not everything. But when you know a tempo issue is going to strike, you still can't do anything about it.

Same here. I'm constantly yelling at my PC 'cause the tempo inconsistancy with master clubs. I just got demoted so I'm thinking of switching back to Pro clubs. Enjoyed the game much more when using Pro clubs. I also noticed that putting is much harder with mastar clubs but that doesn't bother me as much as the tempo inconsistancy which i consider more a bug in the game. Putting can be trained but tempo is a forced on you.

Putting can be trained but tempo is a forced on you. The reason HB implemented the Tempo swing was to find some way of keeping the scores realistic. But in doing so, have made the game unrealistic. Receiving a slow swing and seeing your ball fly 20 yards off line with a LW is just ridiculous. It's virtually impossible to do this IRL with such a short iron. I've been playing video games for over 40 years, and in almost every game there has been a scene that I've struggled to get through, but because every game is mechanical you eventually find a way. So why after almost 150 rounds with Master clubs I still can't fathom this swing. What I do today in order to receive a perfect swing, will be a slow swing tomorrow, and could possibly be a fast the day after. The parameters are changing all the time. I could put up with hitting bad shots all day, as long as I can see it's something I'm doing wrong, but this isn't the case. I've got nothing to work on because I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
