When making the OSM for Engineers, I drew fairways all the way around the greens. Translated into the game they're a little wider than they should be (although it works ok with this course). The next course I plan to do it won't work so well for, as it's more of a typical 'modern' course. Should I draw the fairways as close to the greens as possible in places where I don't want 'extra fairway' around the greens?
If I don't draw them all the way around, will it have that weird abrupt cut-off look that a lot of the fairways in auto generated stuff have around the greens?

Hi,
I noticed this on my first OSM import, the key things here is make sure the green spline you draw is comfortably inside where you think the edge of the green is - you'll have a fringe auto generated which always adds a little size to the green.
Now for the fairway, unless there is a sizable run-off area or the course in question has big fairway collars around the green, I would suggest just doing a very narrow fairway collar around the green, I sometimes just keep it very uniform with in-game aesthetics in mind rather than what the OSM image suggests I trace.
Another little trick you can do is trace the green first and then place the fairway points on the same green points and this will give you a very small fairway collar with a secondary surface of rough.

I actually thought about experimenting with using the green points. That probably gives maybe 30cm (1ft or us Murikans) of fairway collar or so? Which is probably just the right amount of fairway collar for this course.
Should I combine that with making the greens slightly smaller (relatively speaking) or picking either method is probably sufficient?
