My first WIP, pictures coming soon
Engineers is a Herbert Strong design, later touched up in places by Devereux Emmet.
I assumed I wasn't really going to care for finishing courses in the TGC designer , but then I published an untouched version as an Alpha to play on console (EngineersCC Alpha1 I believe) and play tested it: some pins were close to literally impossible in the middle of each green but the terrain did the talking.
It combines golden age goodness with some wacky Herbert Strong hole design. This is most evident in the extra hole, a 95 yard Par 3 nicknamed the '2 or 20 hole' that was taken out of play in the 1960s due to its extremely penal nature. The hole was renovated in the 1980s and can be added back in to the round (it plays 122 yards now), perhaps omitting hole #11. Yes, this course has 19 holes that play consecutively.
The way Strong uses the land for interesting and intimidating visuals is pretty awesome, but the greens are what stand out the most. They're so severe that despite having been re-contoured once before, the club keeps green speeds in the 9-9.5 range to avoid making additional changes to them.

Just wondering, is there a general 'preferred way' to take pictures of a course? I should be able to post some pictures tomorrow.

Just published a beta as "Engineers CC Beta (L)"
This is the 'Tribute' layout including the infamous Hole 14a, whereas the one with the par 3 11th is dubbed the 'Tradition' layout. I recommend you don't set green speeds above 'moderate' as they play to 9.5 stimp in real life.
Feel free to play test it and let me know what you think could / should be improved. My list of things to get to as of now: planting grasses and bushes LiDAR cliff drop-offs
some small bunker changes bunker islands and bunkers in fairway surrounded by rough hole 14a green not quiiite right yet
