Need some help trying to get Lidar for this course
Tried following Noblemans video,but no luck,went to google maps, noaa then directed me to national maps, but i cannot see any files to download
Any help would be appreciated

I just laid out Dormie Club using their LIDAR data from that service and it's spot on. I'm really excited about seeing Tobacco Road as well. I really wish there was better data for coastal SC - another Strantz design I would like to attempt is Bulls Bay.

Yeah i noticed you started it a month ago, i have added about 155 edits so far in the last 2 weeks , still a more to do, tons of huge bunkers and small rough sections in this beauty Its been my favourite course, any course done by Mike Strantz is very creative and just amazing. So you obviously had plans to do this, up to you, i am easy going, if you want you can, i was thinking about an autumn/winter look with red/yellow trees and burnt/browny dead grass and rough just to give it some colour. Theres also a few timber steps in a few bunkers, the big silos and farm equipment spread around the course . I did this rcr over at PG a few years ago and got a member to do all the real objects in Blender, then made all the textures in Photoshop, it was alot of work adding all the extras for more realism You can go ahead if you wish,just give me a mension somewhere, thatll do me, i dont mind helping out, dont matter who finishes it, i just want to play it and loved it when it was in TGC1 Cheers mrooola |
