Hi guys,
I found 3Dep Lidar for Baltimore Country Club. This course is a beaut, and I think it would look great with Lidar. The only problem is I have no idea how to work the NOAA Digital Coast site, which is a shame as the data is high quality. Does anyone know how to navigate this site and get the data?
This is a link to the course, check it out!

Having walked that course in person a few times, it's a fantastic layout. I never had the opportunity to play there but know many who have. I'd be willing to help with the OSM for this one to expedite things if you get the OK. Considering they lengthened the course for the Senior PGA Championship, it might be a good option for some TGC Tours as well. I already searched USGS for both Greystone and BCC and it came up empty, so really excited to see there might be an alternative source. If so then someone else may want to consider giving Caves Valley a shot as well, it sneaks into the top 100 on occasion. Greystone was my favorite 'local' public course for years.
Sorry I can't really offer anything on the LiDAR front, though: this seems like it might be one for Chad.

Funny you mentioned Caves Valley, I just mapped out the first 6 holes but struggled to get Lidar for that as well. I'm not too good with this stuff!

I lived walking distance from there, how could I not mention it? I saw the 2002 Senior Open there as a kid and grew up playing a local country club not far from there. When that club went under I played public courses and that's when I started frequenting Greystone, which was originally going to be a private course but when they ran out of funds, Baltimore County bought it so instead it's a muni.

This is a golden age gem. Bern watching that flyover for the past couple of years. Glad to see interest in it. Get practicing building flat bottom bunkers, they're much harder than they look.

Any luck on this course, or still interested in it? If you want to work on the OSM for it we can help you get the LiDAR data when the time comes. It looks daunting at first but really isn't that hard once you know what to do.

It looks daunting at first but really isn't that hard once you know what to do. Thank you for reaching out. I have a few non-lidar courses I'm working on at the moment so for the time being I think I'm going to forget it. That said, if no one has picked it up in a few months or so I might come back to you. Thanks again!
