I do not know where to put this so move it if you want.
I have the X with the Samsung 860 EVO 1 TB SSD. My interent connection is fiber 250 up 250 d and my NAT is OPEN.
I decided to test the loading times with two courses. Merion and Purgatory.
I first did it with the game on the SSD and then I diconeccted the SSD and loaded the game onto the internal HD. I used my stop watch on my phone and started it exactly when I hit start match or whatever it says and stopped it as soon as I saw my golfer on the tee.. After It loaded up I played one hole and then quit. I then went back and started the course up again.
Merion SSD
45.18 sec
10.6 sec
Merion HD
53.49 sec
10.13 sec
Purgatory SSD
51.23 sec
16.19 sec
Purgatory HD
52.22 sec
15.80 sec
I also did Oakmont on my SSD
15.90 sec
I was surprised that the SSD was not much faster. It does make a huge difference for PUBG. It is proven. It looks like the X does not have that much of problem loading the courses without the SSD so I guess I proved that. Although you can see how much quicker Oakmont is which is not a LIDAR course.
It also might help people that crash to load up the course and then quit it and go back. I am not sure though.
What we really need is someone with a stock Xbox to time the load times.
Hope this helps in some way!

The LiDAR courses take a while, and for the rare instance where they have crashed I just quit out and reload them, then they work just fine.
Part of why loading times are very similar for both the HDD and SSD probably has to do with data download speeds, as chances are that a faster disk drive won't help much in this regard?

Ok, makes sense. At least we know that for TGC or maybe console games in general (or anything downloading data) that disk type isn't likely to be a bigg difference maker?
