I know this is for fun, but i dont understand why a guy ranked 41 WGR is being given 7:1 odds (or even listed with others omitted with a much better rank) and the field at 1:1 odds - with all the top 10 players the field should be at least 8:1 odds.
I will take the over on 58.5, the field, and -15 cut.

And I think that is deserving of making the "list" to bet on, and hope it continues each week if we have a leader who has otherwise gone unnoticed

Ahh, ok, I didnt realize that. I dont leaderboard watch much other than to see how I am doing after I have caught up with the rounds I post. Makes perfect sense to include a trending hot player.
I still stick with my "field" pick but I wish it had more realistic odds than 1:1.

A Field bet shouldn't be even money. It should be at least 20-1, if not 40-1. If we were doing 30 people broken out you are right, but honestly with only 6-7 and all the first time winners, taking the field is more likely..

Can I have some clarification on what over/under in golf means? -54 is greater than -58 in actual maths, but if you say instead over/under on the number of strokes under par, then 54 < 58. I'm assuming it is the latter case, but don't want any confusion because of the negative numbers. Over means you believe they will get to 59, 60, 61 under par Under means you believe it will be 58, 57, 56 under par... I concur I tried to add the more than and less than because I was thinking the same thing.

Thanks everyone for the interest. This is a fluid thing. If field does not win the first couple we will bump up the odds. Any suggestions to make it better week to week are welcome.

how about adding a first round leader market aswel. Thats where i tend to make most of my beer tokens!! Maybe u could price up similar odds as the winner odds.

Or possibly a 'will there be a hole in one' market (with proof obviously), That could be fun and not much more work id guess.
