Welcome to Dauphin Highlands Golf Club, the next LiDAR RCR brought to you by Victor Lane and Terry Grayson from the Dirty Ankle Mafia. This course is in Harrisburg, PA and hosts many local competitions, and can be set up quite challenging for the golfer in real life. Unfortunately, it won't pose much of a challenge here in The Golf Club because of the driving distances, but it should provide an enjoyable round of golf with plenty of scoring opportunities. We have done our best to replicate the real course as much as possible, including the locations of buildings and plantings, and although there aren't a ton of pictures of the course online, Victor has played here over 100 times because it's a local course for him, so it's verified to be as accurate as possible. We hope you enjoy your rounds! "Dauphin Highlands Golf Club is framed by majestic trees, sporting well-manicured fairways and greens, and comes alive with seasonal wildflowers and elegant plantings of many types. From a challenging par 3 of 172 yards to a wide-open par 5 of 541-yards, Dauphin Highlands provides the opportunity for you to experience every facet of the intricate game of golf. Our signature hole, the 17th, is a par 3 of breath-taking natural beauty requiring each player to tee off over a natural ravine onto a gently sloping green." - taken from the official website

DAM great job here boys. Too bad about #bridgegate though. Impressive that you did this in the middle of wrapping up your major course too.

Thanks man! Appreciate the additional insights there. It seemed difficult to get the yardages to match in game because of waypoints and how the game measures, but the tees are generally on the correct teeboxes, so if you have a trick for that let me know. Surprised to hear about any yellow near pins but I didn’t change any sculpting at all. I played pin 1 with gdog earlier and we didn’t have any yellow on PC.

I have noticed on xbox sometimes its the angle your at with your pin on the green yellow lines and even they disappear after your 2nd putt,No harm for me especially on these shorter courses, been saying for a long time i reckon actual pins in real life would be close to yellow slopes so a couple a round should not cause bother, saying that a member on HB forum did complain about tough pins on these newer courses this morning.
I would think nobody else plays with google earth and search for guides to play along with, its why i love real courses, just about distances maybe google earth is wrong for an example but there is a Tee behind the 15th your back tee,and to middle of green it is 204 yards,Maybe there has been recent changes to course or LIDAR data not yet caught up,but you got nothing to worry about i reckon only me in the world would notice.Playing along with the Guide above An absolute fantastic job on course, keep these real courses coming just thought 7120 yard course would suit game more.
Anthony Kyne's vision for the Golf club brand all these real local courses, just a shame HB going down a different route.

Loved it, putting this on next week's USE schedule Kind of a shame the in-game club distances overpower a lot of these new lidar courses. And I'm guessing in most cases the plot makes it impossible to add suitable tee boxes to make it a more challenging 'tour edition' length just for the game.

Thanks for playing it Larry, we’re glad you enjoyed it. If people enjoy it enough I am likely to add fictional tees for a TGCT edition. The main thing when doing that is playtesting, because as you know from your experience of playing, designers can’t just add a tee 40 yards back on every hole or the course won’t play correctly. Proper architecture would dictate where a longer tee should go relative to each hole’s strategy, but it’s worth the time if everyone enjoys it.

Really an outstanding track here guys. Just played the 1st rd in a sim Society & found it not only pleasantly challenging but also had that very realistic look & feel to it!
Looking forward to the next 3 rds in this Society & expect to be back to it many times in the future! It's 5+ imho!
Great job & thanks!!

Great guide here to play along with,i thought you captured the course super, a couple of pins close to yellow on pin set 1 on my xbox, but no harm really, only wish The Black Tees to match the scorecard a little but more,so it would have played even better in game.Loving all these real courses to play no time for anything else.. linkUnfortunately, a ton of real-life courses don't play nearly as long as the scorecard says they do. I took one course that was egregiously over-marked and added up actual distances with Google Earth from 1-2yds off the back edge of each back tee box, and it was over 300yds shorter than it said on the card.

Submitted this to the database tonight now that there is a LiDAR tag that designers can add to their submissions. It's short, but if you just play with a 3 wood off the tee it plays pretty nicely, or dominate it with a driver to shoot -18 if you want. LOL! Either way, it's a clean and very well done LiDAR in our opinion. Let us know what you think!
