Vote! I have LIDAR and OSM imports for the first four, I've OSM mapped and imported the fifth but would have to sculpt by hand. I would start after I publish my US Open contest course. Tetherow (David McLay Kidd): Cypress Point Club (Alister MacKenzie): Pikewood National (John Raese/Bob Gwynne): Sweetens Cove (Rob Collins/Tad King): Tara Iti (Tom Doak):

Tara Iti should get lidar within the next year or two. They are planning the flights now.

Can't hate on those options. I have to admit, though, I was looking lovingly at the largely untouched OSM for Shinnecock and NGLA today, and I had to tell myself "no!"

Where is Castle Pines in Colorado on your list, Brian?

Where is Castle Pines in Colorado on your list, Brian? Had to look it up. Looks like an awesome course, would need to rotate it in order to fit it on the plot without expanding it, but I would go crazy trying to plant it and place all those houses along the course. Also need a members login just to see the course tour on their website, and I don't see any good flyover vids or anything like that in a quick search.

Are you only picking courses that look excruciating to plant? π
I'd go with Cypress but that guy from HB forum may come for your head so I'll go with Tetherow.

So, I made this a couple nights ago with the simulator folks in mind and wasn't even going to post it over here, but the more I thought about it, I figured what the hell? The guys that stream have subs and get donations and stuff, it's not really any different than that. So here we are: Simulator Golf Design on PatreonBasically, I'm going to plan on releasing a new RCR each month, voted on by patrons. I've got 3 patrons so far which, honestly, is 3 more than I thought I'd get, so big thanks to those guys. But if you enjoy my work and want a say in what I release next, I'd love to have more on board. Here's what we're doing: $1: One vote. I have a post up right now with the four courses above, asking pledgers to comment with which course they want to see next. The course with the most votes at midnight on April 1 will be the course release for the month of April. $25: Nominate a course to be added to the vote for the next month's course release. The only caveat is it has to have a good source of LIDAR data. If you aren't sure if your course has LIDAR data or not, feel free to reach out to me before pledging. Right now, a LIDAR version of Sweetens Cove is winning the vote 5-2 over Cypress Point.

Green fees are cheap out here!
