Slow downswings used to lose distance. Since the last patch they do not lose distance. There is a thread about the "power fade" mechanic adding distance in the Clubhouse.
Perhaps that is what is happening?

Just me? All my flops are going 4 or 5 yards longer the last few weeks. I assume it’s just me but curious During a round yesterday, I was in a bunker showing 80-88% - 34 yards from the pin. Always working on the middle scenario, I chose a flop-shot with a carry yardage of 36 yards. Calculating this to 84% should have reduced this to just over a 30 yard carry. Knowing too well that most flop shots tend to land further than you expect, I applied a little loft as the green was running slightly downhill. I hit a perfect/perfect shot and my ball pitched 2 yards past the pin. I know the percentage could always be above or below the middle, but even at 88% my ball should not have pitched further than 32 yards. I've used this method since TGC1 days, and I stick to it as around 50% of my bunker shots are OK, while 10% fall short and the rest go long. I think it's just a random thing. Some days you get lucky, other days you don't.

That is what I was thinking. Plus those percentages are just bogus. How many times has a 80% gone the full distance

Absolutely! God, am I happy to read your message, I thought I was the only one suffering from this Same as you described: an average extra 5 yds on every flop shot! Guess we will have to re-learn them

I've had issues with the flop shot going long since this game came out. I'll be in a deep bunker with 80% or whatever and the pin is 15 feet higher than me and i'll hit a 24 yard flop 22-23 yards after adding loft. It doesn't make sense at all. I know some of it has to do with the lie but i usually try to factor that in too. I pretty much fully loft all of my flop shots anymore to try and reduce rollout...usually stops on a dime at that point. Only caution with that is i have had some issues where if there is a hill it will spin back and roll off the green or back into the bunker if not executed perfect.

Guess we will have to re-learn them I made some charts that were right on and then started noticing 2 and 3 yard difference. A flop 100% lofted was 20 yards solid. All of a sudden 22 yards consistently (Pro)

Definitely. Had a perfect 42 yards from pin though I would use the standard 36 yard flop expecting 38yards and a hop to be about right. The SOB landed near 42 and rolled off the green.
