I'm going to recommend something different for this course. The raw lidar I received is 2.5GB to start out with. When you process it, it goes over 8GB of active memory in use. That means your computer probably needs 16GB of RAM or this may take hours. My high-end PC took 15 minutes to run through this data. So I'm going to give you the output heightmap file and mask directly. www.dropbox.com/sh/c5prpan434ggufw/AAAP2NZy16XrVt0aLFA-7E4wa?dl=0So you will: Make a course file in the game that's empty with the theme you want Import it under the course tools tab Put the two files I'm giving you into the folder for your course Then go to the import Terrain and Features tab and Select Import Heightmap and OSM. You can edit the mask and redo the OSM as many times as you want from these two files, but you won't need to try to process this very large lidar file. And for some reason, I keep accidentally grabbing existing course files with the Steppe/desert theme today, so again, I've accidentally rendered your course in the desert.....

Nope, Richmond VA.
My great golfing friend and I are going down to the Monday pga qualifier in April.
I have played the sandhills courses a bunch. That is the furthest south in NC I have played.
Qualifiers are at rolling hills and gaston Thursday in April but only gaston had a Monday qualifier and that fits better schedule wise for my friend.

I've just published it as Gaston LIDAR beta
The trees are auto generated so probably don't line up 100% but the fairways, bunkers and greens are all good and I've only filled in the water where I think you need to see it.
I've also given you the option of 3 sets of tees and 4 different pin positions to play with.
Have a look and play through it and see what you think and I can make any modifications you wish but remember that it's far away from a fully completed course in terms of planting and what you might visually see on the real course as that would take a fair bit of time to get correct.

The best thing to do with the greens is slow the speed right down before you play. That's the thing with LIDAR vs video game. 'Real life' green speeds are a lot slower and therefore the slopes are less severe than trying them on fast or very fast

Yep. Lidar gives you truer green undulations and the speed in the game makes those humps and bumps crazy.
Will knock the speed down and give it another go.
