Almost finished mapping the Donald Ross Course in French Lick, IN which is about 40 miles from where I grew up. I played this course in high school and am interested to see how it translates to TGC 2019. If this turns out okay, I may take a shot at doing the Pete Dye Course in French Lick as well. My planting skills are not the best, so I'm trying to do RCR's of courses that I've played while I work on improving my skills. I prefer to leave the iconic/top courses to the truly great designers we have here. No way a novice like me could do those types of courses the treatment they deserve.

Have you pulled in lidar yet? I had trouble getting the data as I was mapping out the dye course...

Cool, I noticed you were mapping this one. I've always admired this course and look forward to getting to play it (hopefully the lidar data is available).

reebdoog,
I downloaded the lidar but haven't tried to generate anything yet. I have just a little bit of tracing to finish in OSM. I will post pics soon if I am successful.

OH! I remember why I ditched this. The file size was IMMENSE. I'll have to give it another shot with the new version.

Definitely give it a try. I would love to see the Dye Course in the game and I'm sure you would do a fantastic job with it!
