Welcome to The Herringbone.
The Herringbone is a private and exclusive golf course owned by wealthy fishing mogul Timothy Clark. Situated on the Machir Bay coastline the course offers beautiful views of both the Scottish sea and mountain ranges.
The course, originally carved out of an ancient cedar forest by Mr Clark's great grandfather, was built in 1938 and despite many upgrades over the years still enjoys an historic feel.
This links style course is set in the highlands theme and plays 7001 metres from the back tees. Scoring low requires precision placement with woods, accurate iron play, creative wedges and nerves of steel with the flatstick on the lightning fast greens. The Clark manor overlooks the entirety of the course so be sure to replace your divots and repair your pitch marks.
This is just my second course published. Hoping Karma4u can work his magic and add some photographs.
Enjoy a round. And enjoy a whiskey.

I have played both your courses and enjoyed my rounds on each of them, there is no doubt you have talent using the designer and can only imagine what you will produce as you gain more experience. I thought the bunker work on this one really stood out from the beginning, especially the fairway bunkers. To me, a couple of the fairways got a little to narrow at times but nothing that would spoil a round. One thing though if you don’t mind me saying. One of the greens had a brick wall around the outside. It did not happen to me, but be careful with walls, fences and planting close to a green as sometimes when a green is missed, the view of the golfer can be obstructed. Anyway, nice work on both courses, looking forward to s more from you in the future.

Thanks very much for the kind words Daniel. Glad you enjoyed your rounds. My first course was very much experimental and was basically about me learning the design tools. But I'm really pleased with how The Herringbone turned out. Yes I was in two minds about the brick wall around the ninth green. In the end I just really liked the look and decided to run with it. Have a good day mate.
