Just trying to make sure there's nothing that I can do. I'm not doing anything that isn't in the official HB courses, but that doesn't mean there isn't anything that could cause instabilities. (Some official courses like TheGreensatOldRasputin is 39,000 kB and ValledelosReyes is 33,500 kB) I've not seen any evidence that crashes/disconnects are worse on lidar courses, but I'm not going to let it be worse on lidar courses and that means I need information. The only two times I've seen this is gdog had an issue on his stream on his PC, but then moved to his XBOX and also had issues before it resolved so I think this was a more general issue. rhino4life and statelyowl reported issues with Purgatory crashing on 15 and then the Nicklaus course not loading. This is very similar to gdog, but he switched platforms. We played a foursome tonight on my course (Purgatory) with zero issues on PC, and it has never crashed on me playing online (not saying it doesnt happen to others though)
I got three different disconnects on other courses (not lidar) after the fact one of which was due to my crap internet the other two
were due to the error mentioned in the HB thread
Not sure if this helps or not, but thought I would throw it out there

Thanks, everything will help. I *think* we can just blame HB, but I just want to be sure. It will all be anecdotal, but I'm not familiar with the general reliably of the console or PC versions.

Ours was a very small sample size, we tried twice to get two different four-man alt-shots launched on Nicklaus course by Mr Smedley and multiple players had game crashes each time.
We then switched to a different course, and no issues.
Purgatory earlier had loaded up ok, and one game finished ok while the other crashed on 15th.
In all cases, one person per group was also streaming, but Twitch never crashed, just TGC2019
So there is a suggestion that Lidar course taxes the Xbox more in some way, but as I say it is a small sample, so in no way conclusive.
Would like to see others try kicking off a four-man alt shot on Nicklaus and see how they get on.

Just tried to play Nicklaus as a local match alone and it crashed the game while loading.... Lidar is an issue for Xbox it seems... maybe the file size is causing issues so not every course may have the same issue. rhino4life moneyman273 if y'all try, let us know how it goes as a local match. |

I know gdog managed to finish a ground on Purgatory with his XBOX. What is the latest XBOX versions? Is it the X BOX ONE? Anyone want to loan me an XBOX to look into things or is willing to play some junk courses so I can try to push the limits and see what happens? Any PS4 users? @tenahka are you guys are on PS4 right? Any issues? |
