My one and only Lidar has been ported to the new game
dont really want to start a new thread, nor find any others, so I found what I thought translated the best in new game out of my courses
Changed all the textures to match the grasses better, and it gave it a nice late summer look I thought....
Others I ported which will be only ones from 19 or before
Kill Devil Hills Rocky Fork Ridge Valle Crucis Woodford Park
the End
Love terry

I'm playing here IRL tomorrow, so I'm glad this was ported. They've cut the tall grass down for fall, so hopefully I'll cut my lost balls down by about 70%. I'll have a go at it tonight for prep.

I wish I would have seen this before I played, Terry. I certainly would have snapped a few shots, it was a beautiful day for golf. I actually mentioned that the course existed in the game to one of the guys in the clubhouse, which blew his mind. He was going to have his son check it out because "He's got one of those game systems".
It's a really fun (and really challenging) course, and reasonably priced for the quality. If you are ever in central Indiana I'd recommend it. I live about 10 minutes away so I usually try to play there a couple of times per year. This year turned out to be only once, but I probably hit 3 of my best shots of the year. Most notable, I found a pink soccer ball style ball around hole 5 and started using it. Hit a drive into a mound and some recently cut tall grass and commented "if this even gets near the green I'll play pink soccer balls from here on out". Proceeded to play a PERFECT draw from ~175 that hit the front of the green and rolled to about 5". I've placed my order for pink soccer balls.

Played this earlier in the week and loved it. Giving it a bump just in case it gets forgotten. Had to Google Map it to get a full appreciation of the bunkering. There's a lot of sand out there!

I don't mean to hijack this thread about one of the best courses there is out there right now...but I'm getting into the sim market and I am trying to figure out how this would work in the sims? Aren't they all running TGC 2019, not the new PGA2k1? I thought there were no plans to upgrade sim packages to PGA2k1. Are courses designed in 2k1 backwards compatible with Protee or Skytrack or any others?

Are courses designed in 2k1 backwards compatible with Protee or Skytrack or any others? No, the 2k21 courses are not really compatible with 2019. You can open a 2k21 course file in 2019 (if you have the designer XX.course file), but if any 2k21 only objects were used it will have some problems. However, I'm not sure how you would ever get the 2k21 XX.course file unless you were the author of the course. Plus, this is a port over from a 2019 course, so you should be able to play the 2019 version just fine. Anyway, you may be able to find more relevant info regarding sim setup and use over at golfsimulatorforum.com
