Im not talking about how everyone else plays, i'm glad others have found a method of what works for them, it does not bother me what other people do or what they shoot. I am talking about how there is no consistent way of ME to have a good swing in this game no matter what i try. I keep hoping that one day it will just click with my tempo and swing line. I thought i had it down pretty good in the previous version of this game (before patch) but now its like playing a puzzle with pieces that dont fit and i just cant figure it out.

I quite enjoy that this game is hard to find consistency on, feels like real golf to me! I think I enjoy it more than some because I just play my game and don't overly worry about how everybody else plays theirs. I know I keep banging on about it but that's the key! Forget the fast swingers and the PS4 guys maybe getting it a bit easier, just play the game and see where it gets you! I can't imagine not playing the tours, and at the end of the day not all PS4 players and fast swingers are finding it easy. I know this because they are below me on the ladder! I also don't think it's random, I know instantly when I've got it exactly right. It's just so hard to do that consistently, which is fine by me I guess. The other thing with being bumped down a few levels (again!) is I haven't given up hope of adding to my tour wins this season. Just need to find that little purple patch and a little bit of luck.... Not even sure I'll bother with the promo events this season, I'd rather try to work my way up the old fashioned way. First got to clear those ugly demo marks I picked up last week... Point is, and I've said it all along, if you're not enjoying the game then there's no point in playing and wasting your free time. But you need to look at WHY you're not enjoying it, and if that's because of what other people are doing then I'd strongly recommend you have a rethink. Personally it’s nothing to do with what anyone else gets as I know I’m not that good so I’m not interested in what they shoot it’s just trying to enjoy a game that I like playing but it’s just f*#king me off how i can seem to play reasonably ok for one rd then straight after it’s all over the place |

I stand on a tee and not have any idea where I’m going to hit it, I wouldn’t mind if it was just off the tee but it’s difficult even trying to recover from a bad shot. I know three or four long time players have given up on the game and I feel that’s going to be my future as well. I’m just not enjoying playing the game at Master difficulty level.
A couple of weeks ago I asked about joining CUCC but I’m reconsidering that request, I don’t want to join then dropout shortly after which is how I’m feeling things are going.

Really struggling with the game now - not happy with the putting since they changed it, and tempo in general is all over the place. I couldn't be more bottom of CC-A definitely down to B next week, and should probably be in F at least right now. Clinging onto the hope of yet another patch and more swing changes, otherwise I can see myself stopping with TGC Tours for the first time since the first game came out. I might stick with CUCC as we're all playing the same crap game. Sad times! Hey, what’s wrong with CC-F?? 🤔 |

My sentiments are the same as many others. It's very frustrating with the random tempo but I will stick with it and hope it clicks one day. I do have an absolute blast playing the game even though it's maddening at times.
My lady is very happy with me because I upgraded our TV and internet speed recently. She doesn't need to know that the main reason I did it is because I'm desperate searching for my swing 😂

She doesn't need to know that the main reason I did it is because I'm desperate searching for my swing 😂 I’m glad to know it’s not just me that tries everything to find every last option to avoid the issues, I’ve got an Xbox One X, elite controller and nothing makes a difference! One night I’m close to packing in playing the game altogether, the next day I’m up for the challenge. I enjoy it being hard, I want birdies to be rewarding, I just want it to be hard and somewhat consistent. Maybe for Xbox we should be playing the TGC settings but with the swing difficulty tweaked down a bit. On TGC19 it always felt (I had both consoles at the same time) that PS4 masters was closer to Xbox Pro clubs the Xbox Master clubs |

I'm not trying to trivialise the frustration Chief Banks and xclgizman08, honestly I'm not. I've had plenty of it myself as you well know! I've also been through big troughs with this game and the last one where everything just seems to be spiraling downwards. I've found a week or two blowing up police cars in GTA or chainsawing the Lambent, or simply designing in this game, a little reset and then back to it has often worked wonders. If not for my scoring at least for my enjoyment. Try something a bit different? Have a little play around. Listen to what a few others are saying. This is still a pretty damn good golf game and there's a variety of ways to attack it, and I've seen BOTH of you play well on a Friday night. It's the same game! How can you get a Friday night mentality in to a tour round? Slow it down a bit maybe? Play against a turn based ghost? It just makes me sad to see good people not enjoying this game, I wouldn't want to lose you. Whatever level we play at doesn't matter, the enjoyment is there! Find that and everything else will sort itself out. |

-3 through two rounds of this week’s CC-F event! Might make a cut for the first time this season! I swallowed my pride, put the most forgiving clubs in across the bag and managed to keep it in play better. Must have missed 5 or 6 makeable putts so could’ve been lower. Tonight is a positive night, tomorrow maybe back to square one 😂

-8 might possibly make the cc-c cut for the first time, followed by a joint leaderboard topping -18 in s&m. There’s nothing wrong with this game, bring on this weeks cucc event and watch it all fall apart 😂

I would like to thank chief, taff and Ken, plus all their many helpers who run the 3 societies ive been playing in for the last few years. These societies are without doubt the best in TGCTours in my opinion with fantastic members, all battling the xbox issues together, but i am going to have to leave after these ongoing seasons.
The reason is my son is buying a PS5 and on the 19th of November he is gifting me his PS4. Now i have an old xbox, not a "s" or an "x"....just the plain old standard one and i cant be looking a gift horse in the mouth.
Im not too fussed about the game being supposedly harder on xbox as we all in it together, but recently i was frozen out of a game in Kens society and i aint heard of that happening before so its possibly an old xbox issue, or it could be coincidence, who knows. But again, this is a fee gift which i would be crazy to knock back as no way i can upgrade, just simply cant afford it and who knows if new XBOX plays this game any better anyway. I sincerely hope it does for you folk who do fork out for it.
I leave a better player as in divisional performance than 2019, sort of middle of the road in leaderboards instead of craning my kneck looking up , or is it some of you lot are just worse at this game and have passed me in reverse lol. I only hope the putting is the same on PS as im quite decent at that, but knowing my luck i will be worse off ;-).
Ive copied this onto each of the three and once again thanks.
P.S I may be back if my son changes his mind and trades his PS4 in, plus it would save me buying the bloody game again ;-)
