Hi all,

I haven't been around for a bit. Surgery all went well and I was out of commission for a few days. I haven't caught up on things here though so apologies for that.

I think I might be done with this game completely to be 100% honest. There were maybe only a few days where I wouldn't have been able to play comfortably, but I could have pushed it. My last effort I played standing up. I haven't played in well over a week though and the desire to is mostly gone. I know I have zero interest in TGCTours any more, which is a real shame since I have been here 5 years or so. I somehow qualified for Elite and played only 2 rounds (knew I'd miss the cut after my first round) and haven't had any desire to play. Now that is bleeding over to these great societies for Xbox.

This is supposed to be fun and I just am not finding that with this version at all. Some people embrace the challenge and keep pushing on. I admire that, I really do. For me though, I just don't understand any more how to play effectively or consistently. I am not going to try and master this fast swing approach. I've never been one to care about scoring at all or how realistic it is to real golf. I find myself wishing we could just go back to a game that didn't have tempo. If that ever is a possibility, I would absolutely consider being a part of this amazing group. Tempo has just never made sense to me and I find myself more frustrated than enjoying the experience.

All tour levels are the same as far as all being on master settings.  You are just playing well and likely to move up to the next tour next season.

Thanks very much but I don't feel like I have it down at all! Tempo seems to come and go for me, one round I get it, mostly, and the next it's definitely not got! But it's a great game nonetheless and greater still to be playing against a good bunch on Xbox.

I think tempo is in general a good thing but it's been given too much emphasis by HB, and it doesn't need saying that on Xbox it's everything.

You're an excellent player John, I think you should carry on and one day at a time you will get it. I agree it's frustrating and on our console it's very  disappointing HB have largely overlooked us again but at least things aren't as bad as 2019!

I'm more interested in playing in this society than the tours simply because we on Xbox are all in the same boat ( a slightly rotting rowing boat with a hole in the stern, meaning we have to use a bucket to bail out water, sometimes very fast to stop us sinking and strangely, sometimes very slowly ) Nowadays the tours are for tempo practice.

Yes and it's hard to slap people off the track which is nice. And they do have Cadillacs. 700 cars come with game but of course you have to earn them.

👍 And that has always been the focus of CUCC and why it was created. A membership of brothers all on the same platform to make the most social, fair, and competitive game between all of us.

👍 And that has always been the focus of CUCC and why it was created. A membership of brothers all on the same platform to make the most social, fair, and competitive game between all of us.

Just to add that I feel the same, with the Xbox disparity I have little interest for the tours but will keep going as it’s good practice, my main focus will now be CUCC and I’m enjoying it so far, in what is my first season. Thanks you for organising it

Well I'm glad I have this society and swing and miss, I enjoy trying to get better with no time limit. I feel I may lose my tour card this week if I do. I dont know if I will try again.

You'll be ok - takes 5 marks to demote - most you could get after 2 weeks is 4, so now starts the run!  Just make the cut and you'll clear a mark..

You're a good man. Honestly just enjoy yourself. I had the same on 2019 and just basically played and tried to improve. This game I'm not bottom but middle of the road. Good luck.
