Mod edit:CURRENT RECOMMENDATION IS: Put the Word Lidar or LIDAR or LiDAR at the end of your course name. --------------------------------------- Hey guys, There seems to be a need on how to distinguish these courses when published. I vote we put the word "Lidar" at the end of the course name. Let me know what you think?

friendBOMBER is the most experienced with these kind of things, so I say that if you have enough characters (especially after the 8 extra the Tools give you), just put 'Lidar' at the end. Ez pz. We can revisit this if someone comes up with something better.
I don't really have a strong opinion. Someone suggested a really complicated format on the Simulator forum that I did not like, it was like: GSF_CourseName_City_ST_Lidar and I'm worried that the search won't pick up any of that reliably.
I think we can leave it up the person, I think Lidar or (GIS) will be the most searchable.
But in reality, I don't think lidar courses will be any better than the old ones and we'll still have to go by ratings, plays, and forum stickies. The good designers will still be good, bad designers, like me, will still be bad, and the fun you have playing a course will depend on if you're on the simulator or if it's been made for controller.

I am naming my RCR Purgatory Golf Club (L) at the end for lidar I do like the simple "L" to distinguish a Lidar course at the end. Uses less characters! Although, the big benefit to writing out "Lidar", is when you search for these courses, typing in "Lidar" will pull up all the courses with that word in the title. Searching by L will not give as such of a narrowed list.

I guess we would need to test if their search bar functions recognizes brackets as symbols to search by?

ideally (L) works as you guys usually need all the characters you can get to name your courses - I'll work on getting spreadsheet up tonight so you guys can claim your RCR's you are working on

If someone can confirm they can find Purgatory (now published according to Google sheet) by searching (L) then I'll clean up this thread and have Brandon put that as the first post

Database query won't allow brackets, apparently.

Is there a list of "LIDAR" courses that I can play on PS4 pro? As far as I understand, any "LIDAR" course is full replica of the original course, with greens / farways with slopes and identical slopes. It is? I just do not understand why the course gets "heavy" or bigger ...
