This can't be true ... this is a video game ... it shouldn't matter what gender you pick. It should play the same regardless. Is there really a difference ? there shouldn't be a difference in platform play, it should play the same, right?

In today's sue happy world? There's no difference. I bet my tour card on it. I want this to be true but I can't play with the same stroke tempo with the female as I can with the male. Most notably in putting, she has no touch. It is different I don't know if it is the angle of putters male vs female or something else. I have played as both many times and putting as male is freaky to me.

To me the swing is not smoother, more gangly tbh. The big thing I noticed was the putting touch was not there, I tried tapping in short putts and they would rocket thru the hole and across the green. I'm no Chad but I think I'm a decent putter, but that gal had no touch what so ever! Half-tempted to try it and maybe re-brand myself as Loretta Malone, I'd keep the same clothing / hair styles as my current avatar though, this is how I expect she'd look: Decided to go ahead and play with Chad's sister, Stacy Glittersnatch: Art Vandelay , you're 100% correct, there's a MASSIVE difference in putting and short game. Putting especially is ridiculous, the backswing lengths are far less refined and my counting method for longer putts has to be reduced by about 20%. Part of me is thinking wtf HB, another part of me is thinking hey, there's a whole new way to play this game, let's see if it can't make me play better. Doubtful with putting but I found things relatively easy with tempo so maybe that could help. Either way, Stacy is here to stay for a while, so lock up your sons

*****Makes mental note to change ghost settings from turn based to normal ghost, so as not to actually have to view "Stacy" in-game when using @larrymalone 's ghost*****

My god if Stacy was real I'd be chasin ! Bad idea dude, she's a notorious homewrecker just like her brother. Once you taste the rainbow that is the legendary Glittersnatch, it's just impossible to feel the same desire you had with the Mrs (which I presume for you must be pretty strong since you have about 14 kids judging by the background noise in your streams!).

Huh. Do you think the tempo is more forgiving, Larry?
You've got way more experience in this than I do, and more baseline to do a solid ...er...good comparison.
I mainly stopped playing around with the female because as I was trying to learn the swing mechanics, when I noticed they were different, I figured I needed to just stick with one or the other. Although I found I could putt with either, putting one way then the other was hard to get used to.
But being that tempo problems are my single biggest factor, would their be merit in switching from Josia to Josie??
And I edited out most of your quote because... my eyes, my eyes!!!!

And I edited out most of your quote because... my eyes, my eyes!!!! Still early days, I've only gone a few rounds with Stacy (and now it burns when I pee) so a very small sample size, but I just went through the RRCC courses and I felt like when I wanted perfect/perfect, I could get it every time. Problem is I only want perfect/perfect maybe 2/3 of the time, I like to manipulate tempo for distance control, and I found that problems started kicking in when I did that. One very interesting difference is with Stacy I can get more 'air' between a 100% fast backswing and a perfect one, meaning more distance. HB changed that in one of their patches and I lost a huge edge because of it because those subtle timing backswings were unbelievably useful for getting some extra yards when needed. So that's promising. Flops and chips are god-awful. Putting is a disaster, there's so little backswing animation to go on and my counting method doesn't work, and that's a crucial part of my method for putting which is the only part of my game I'm truly happy with. I feel like I'm guessing and I also feel almost lucky when the ball goes in because I'm just not confident putting with her. That said, I'm wondering about pros/cons because my last RRCC round on Hoback was a -15, should have been -17 at least but a couple of putts went straight over the hole because this goofy bish smashes them so hard (I know I preach thunderc*cking but she takes it to another level!), another was a lipout which would have gone in at a slower pace. So maybe, just maybe, the tempo advantage I think I might be getting could override losing my putting edge, as bad tempos on approaches are scorecard ruiners 99% of the time. And if it means I get closer to the hole (I'm way down in the PGA stats on proximity to hole, mostly because of tempo as I can keep it pretty straight) then I won't need to be a demon putter quite as much. Time will tell, very undecided right now but part of me is enjoying the challenge of learning a whole new way to play.

I have great touch with putting and short game with my lady. I do find it asinine that it's different, let a feminist catch wind of that..

I may give Josie a try tonight then, because I have pretty much stopped playing on Thursday night, due to, for some reason or another, thats when I get the worst tempo issues.
Load up Josie in USE on a Thursday night. yup, that would tell me right there, haha!
As for the swings being different, someone had mentioned it being because of motion capturing different players.
I would bet that if they used motion capture, not only the swing itself, but the SPEED of the swing and the clubhead would have something to do with changing the way the program sees the tempo, perhaps?

I do find it asinine that it's different, let a feminist catch wind of that.. Luckily Stacy's cousin, Bertha Ballcrusher, doesn't play video games so hopefully she won't find out.

Can you create another character to use or do you overwrite your previous character

sorta both. you just switch the gender of your character from male to female, and you create a female persona. Its technically the same character, but when you switch the gender back and forth, it remembers the setting for the other gender. Like if you are male, and edit male, it overwrites. But if you are male, and switch to female, you do whatever, but then when you switch back to male, its whatever you had it at before you switched.
Just try it, it'll make more sense if you see it. LOL
Well Josie visited Purgatory, the Inn in Germany, and Farfegkunsegnugen tonight.
I"m not sure if it helped or not. When I started out, it seemed much better, but as the night went on, tempo got worse and worse and worse. It wasn't so much though the usual, where it feels like lag. It was more that I just got 'off', and I couldn't figure out where the top of the swing was, and the mechanic of it was so much different, I couldn't get it back on track.
Putting was like a rocket jumping off the putter, but chipping was infinitely easier, because of the slower swing, I found it much easier to hit less than 100% shots.

Ok it looks like a lot of the the difference I found was that I made Stacy an ultra-petite minx at the bottom of the height slider, whereas my male avatar was at the top. I changed her to a 6ft4 snu-snu beast and the swing refinement, especially putting, has been increased by a huge margin. Still a different swing animation and there are still differences, but they are minor and due in part I'm sure to illusion due to that different swing animation. This means that Bertha Ballcrusher's blood pressure will go back down at least
