I do not know if I won. I made my worst turn. I closed with a boggie. The adrenaline knocked me over. And hey, it's just a game ... Now is waiting for the next. I'm rooting for you alexandre!! I won last week, it is your turn! It is tough to know what you shot and are waiting on the last two days to see if someone just goes by you or if they barely miss. Really rooting for you to get your first win this season! GO GO ALEXANDRE!

Wow 3 got in at 68. 70 total on the number. Peace be with the last person who knocked -13 under the cut line at the last second. We weren't supposed to get in but you left our hopes intact for the last possible minute.
That being said on to next week and Bandit Ridge. I suspect this is going to be headaches for many players.
- No light rough (Check) - Fairways that are as bumpy as the face of a teenager (Check) - Fairways that will send drives in mathematically improbably directions (Check) - Fairways that are rock hard (Check) - Greens that are bumpy as the face of that other teenager (Check) - Greens with so many undulations and slight breaks it will make you seasick (Check) - Greens that will send approach shots in mathematically improbably directions (Check)
- Greens that are rock hard (Check) - Hurricane force winds all four rounds ( )
I'm told the winds will be down due to the other difficulties listed above. I played it a couple times and course management is going to be really tough. Whatever option you think you have, look for about 3 or four other ones. On most holes you have a few different bail out (safer) options. Some are better than others depending on the wind. A few high risk holes that can be driveable could make it interesting if someone feels they are getting the lucky bounces.
Honestly it is a tough course. I haven't made an official determination of how fair it is. It has many tucked pins where you'll need to play a miraculous shot, get lucky or just play for par. One hole may be a 3 shot approach to a par 4, depending on the wind. Don't hit the rough is all I can say. I would also recommend a couple rounds of practice.
Pay attention to what the fairways and green slopes are doing! Standing up on the tee and launching it without looking will not do well! And there are some hole locations that you can't get close to, and others that you can only get close to by getting creative. Going straight at the hole will also not do well most of the time. Course management will be critical.

And there are some hole locations that you can't get close to, and others that you can only get close to by getting creative. Going straight at the hole will also not do well most of the time. Course management will be critical. Having played it a few times there are actually only a few holes you can shoot directly at in the first round. Even using the slopes on the greens aren't going to leave you near the pin. Some holes I took unplayable lies just to try different things and holes like #1, you aren't getting closer than 20 feet unless you get lucky. Green slopes front left to back right severely with a semi false front. Shoot short right of pin and it rolls down the steep slope past the pin. Hit it just before the hole you risk not making the false front or once again rolling past the hole. 20-25 feet is good.
A lot of holes like this. Gotta play some slopes just to keep it on the green, the problem is that still puts you 20 feet away. Go for the pin gotta get a really lucky bounce to keep it on the green. Many holes it is nearly impossible to play short of the hole. Even when you have short wedges into the green, you are often hitting from a severely sloped fairway and anything just past the hole in these occasions is off the green. -10 first round will be the top if not within top 5. If the other rounds play as tough, I'm thinking low -30s will win.
*EDIT* On hole one if you have the wind to your back and can hit the fairway and leave yourself a short iron, it is possible to get close. Medium/long irons 20+ feet. Also just saw that we are playing default green speed so 187 greens. Oh this is going to be painful!

We've been around a long time. I'm truly enjoying my time here in the Euro tour. Last year in the World Tour, I fought every week just to STAY on the tour. There were multiple events where I had 4 marks and ready to be demoted and somehow fought back to make the cut the next week. While it was an effort to just stay on the tour, I never felt I was ever in serious contention, until the Open Championship where I pissed away a chance to win it, but after that something clicked and I had several top 10 finishes. This year I don't I think it would be worse for me on the PGA with all the new talent there. It sux being the person with the highest WGR sitting in the EURO but here is where I seem I should be. I'm good enough to win but also suck enough to miss 6 or so cuts this season. Moments of brilliance, mixed in with delusions of grandeur. It was nice to see Doyley make it back to the top of the leaderboard again and now it looks like Alexandre will finally get to hoist his first for this season. Well earned if it happens. This was a rough course.

If you put it in the right spots, those 20 footers are pretty straight. Speaking of that pin #1 on the 1st hole. I think I've made that 20-25 foot putt more than I've missed. I think winner will be about -38. Like I said, course management will be critical. Largest purse in a 2 month span, so it's tough and time to bring your A-game.

It is cute that you think us Euro players just can pick a spot on a VF, 187 putting speed green to land at and hold so we can get an uphill, straight putt. I pick an area and if i'm within 10 feet of that area, it is a good shot. Often I'm 20 feet on the other side of that predicted spot.

Congratulations AMG - an awesome early tournament gave you the room to falter a bit in the final stretch - well deserved win. And gratz to my fellow top tenners too. I’m off up to the PGA where it looks like I’ll be having a weekly battle to just make the cut. Thanks to mrvinegar206 for the nice variety in courses and setup throughout the season. I shan’t miss Ron’s bad thread puns, but will miss my semi-regular ghost partner gavlaar124 - hoping to see you join me in a couple of months bud. Au revoir mes amis européens!

If you use TGC 2019 on PS4, you will never play on the PC again. I tell you this. It was my second tournament. The previous one was in 6th. In PS4 hitting the perfect swing is 95% easier. Can believe. Thank you. There are still a few players left who have a chance, but it seems I will win. The old folks are back! Last week's PGA winner is someone who just recently switched to PS4 as well. I tried PS4 last year with TGC2 and I definitely found the tempo much easier but I personally couldn't live with the visuals so went back to PC after a few weeks. Can't say I'm not still temped though

If the swing were the same, it would remain on the PC. I prefer to be within 50 centimeters of the computer screen (seeing every detail) than 4 meters from the television ...
