Started fine, -3 through 4. Didn't do much for a while, then went -5 on 14-17. Then I 3-putted from 10 feet for bogey on 18, to finish with a -9. I had missed another 10 foot birdie earlier in the round too.
Second round started alright, was -4 through 8, pretty good outside of an 11 foot birdie I missed on 6. Second shot on 9 hit the gigantic retaining wall and bounced all the way across the green into the water, ended up double bogeying. Nearly holed an eagle pitch on 12, had a birdie from 10 inches. Whole bunch of holes where I hit sand wedge or pitching wedge or nine iron and had like 20 yards of bounce and roll off the back of the green. 14 was a disaster, fast downswing on my approach, sent the chip past the hole, put my 11 foot par putt 34 feet long, and missed the bogey putt by a foot. Lipped out a 7 foot birdie on 16. Missed an easy 16 footer on 17. Hit the green in 2 on 18 and missed a 13 foot eagle. Finished at -13 through 2 rounds, another tournament where I could have placed well but just shot myself in the foot a bunch of times.

Needed at least a -6 to make the cut. A silly double bogey cost me a promotion mark. Yet again, get up to three and toss one up and burn it with a flame thrower. It is getting old.
No one to blame but myself on this one. Knew from the start that I struggled with this course and this just further is proof for me that I probably don't belong on the PGA. Play is awesome when it is going right. When it is off it is REALLY awful. Should be no reason I miss a cut on a beautiful course like this.
See ya next week.

He was playing very well, until ...
Get to a hole par 5, miss the put to eagle, and do boggie.
Nervous, I reach the other par 5 and play the ball in the water ...
4 blows that get me out of the tournament ...

Surprised to be so tidily inside the cut with a -10 & -8 start to the tournament. Found it a very tough, but fair challenge and looking at the scores seems like I wasn't alone in that this week. Awesome scoring from AGM at the halfway stage... which means I'm nowhere near challenging for the title. But only need to improve a little to have a decent shot at my final promo mark. Because I'm not afraid to go up & try Ron Fun course & setup, but the frame-rate did hit single figures at points - those weren't the points I put in bad swings tho, so not that fussed Hard luck to the -13ers. Good luck to those sweating the -14 line - I think you'll be in. And best of the same to everyone else with rounds to come.

Would someone who is yet to play their 2nd round or 1st/second round please put us out of our misery and shoot better than -13? Put us out of this misery? I swear if i wake up tomorrow and I made it in, I will no longer have any doubt the admin have taken a person role in my game and have decided to mess with me!

Round 3 in the books. Played solid, nothing spectacular, but no mistakes for a -13. Might have an outside shot at a win if I can shoot lights out. ð

Made the cut after a -1 in the first round, wow. Never thought -14 could be enough. So on to round 3&4 ð

Wow 3 got in at 68. 70 total on the number. Peace be with the last person who knocked -13 under the cut line at the last second. We weren't supposed to get in but you left our hopes intact for the last possible minute.
That being said on to next week and Bandit Ridge. I suspect this is going to be headaches for many players.
- No light rough (Check) - Fairways that are as bumpy as the face of a teenager (Check) - Fairways that will send drives in mathematically improbably directions (Check) - Fairways that are rock hard (Check) - Greens that are bumpy as the face of that other teenager (Check) - Greens with so many undulations and slight breaks it will make you seasick (Check) - Greens that will send approach shots in mathematically improbably directions (Check)
- Greens that are rock hard (Check) - Hurricane force winds all four rounds ( )
I'm told the winds will be down due to the other difficulties listed above. I played it a couple times and course management is going to be really tough. Whatever option you think you have, look for about 3 or four other ones. On most holes you have a few different bail out (safer) options. Some are better than others depending on the wind. A few high risk holes that can be driveable could make it interesting if someone feels they are getting the lucky bounces.
Honestly it is a tough course. I haven't made an official determination of how fair it is. It has many tucked pins where you'll need to play a miraculous shot, get lucky or just play for par. One hole may be a 3 shot approach to a par 4, depending on the wind. Don't hit the rough is all I can say. I would also recommend a couple rounds of practice.

But that wouldnt change the fact that only 70 made the cut

Finished up with -13 & -9 to total -40. Satisfied with my play overall, but found an untimely par run of 5 holes on the back 9 of the final round. Will be borderline for my final promotional kiss, but quietly still hopeful. Hole 7 of the final round did contain this beauty...
All in all, another enjoyable tourny. Good luck to those with rounds to play.

Missed a 6 footer on the front, and then an 8 footer on 16 to finish at -9, -44, 1 back of Alexandre. Good luck to any left to play ð

I do not know if I won. I made my worst turn. I closed with a boggie. The adrenaline knocked me over. And hey, it's just a game ... Now is waiting for the next.
