On to my next journey Cabot Cliffs Golf Course in Inverness, Nova Scotia, Canada! This one should be a great one! Also my first "Links" style course that I have ever done, if you don't count Pebble as true links like course that is. Just started the mapping out and research stage. Designed by Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore Par 72 6,765.   |

I believe Crazycanuck1985 indicated his interest, and Doyley has put together the plot with the lidar info included. I would just double check with both of them to confirm. |

I am so pumped for this! Hopefully you are able to get all the planting done w/out running out of meter! That 16th hole will be so fun to play with high wind and a shoddy tempo! haha

I've been working on it today. Had to go into OSM and cross-reference google earth pro to place greens and some temp fairways along with a cart path. I will have to go back in and lay out the holes, my old school way, but at least I'll already have them in their starting locations.

The only big issue with OSM is that the maps are not nearly as up-to-date as the ones for Google Earth are, I'm having to deal with very blurry maps and also have to cross-reference Google Earth. Luckily for me I actually have at least something in OSM, but you have enough experience with RCR's to make it work. There are plenty of good sources for reading up on how the course plays as well so you should be able to get this pretty close to the real deal. |
