It was dlw's comment I was referring to when I quoted u guyz to show u that your comment was inaccurate taste when u stated only Europeans are commenting on this topic referring to our tour.clearly not the case.. True dlw can't be taken too seriously, but surely even he needs to show some respect towards others players n tours..his comments were unnecessary...that's all I want to say on this topic!!good day to you all!!

Think this one has run its course. Someone think of a new thread to post - need more general banter - no more them vs us, but more of all of us vs no one type thing

From the viewpoint of someone who may be on the bubble for this and future invitational tournaments depending on how I play:
If I am not playing well enough to be invited, then I don't want an invite.
TGCT has said there will be companion events on the week of invite tourneys so I want to be placed where I belong and feel I can compete. I dont want to steal the spot of someone more deserving at the time. If I think I am playing well enough to compete and am on the bubble then I will employ a reasonable strategy to get an invite if it means crossing over. There are no guarantees to anything I try because I still have to make shots and how others play that particular week is completely out of my hands.
Bottom line, this is all for F-U-N. Not going to get caught up in taking things serious, getting bent out of shape at what others do, and always, always be greatly thankful of the huge amounts of volunteer efforts that keep the wheels turning here.

dlw likes to stir the pot. He hasn't done it lately until now. I was getting bored So I decided to do a little cooking. You have to stir when cooking. Sorry that the European players didn't like what I was cooking. Lol I've told players many times, don't take me too seriously.

As someone who this could affect if accurate, I can say I dont think this thread is true. its premise or most of its comments. I make the PGA cut about 40% of the time. When I miss the cut it is by 1 or 2 strokes. I am the 80th best player on the PGA tour. That is where I am consistently. To think if I went to Euro I would magically be 8 strokes better than I am now is wrong. Would I make more cuts? Very likely yes. Would finishing -28 under over four rounds help me finish say 45th instead of a missed cut? Maybe. Would that be anywhere near enough to get me in the top 100 on the WGR? No, with strength of competition factored in I stay virtually the same in my WGR, as I should. I have not changed (gotten better, etc), I have a different competition group to compare too. Might I be closer to the top 30 on Euro? certainly. But not in the top 50. With the quality at the top and the crossovers to think that average Joe (like me) who this thread was supposedly about would have a back door in is not true in my opinion.
IF I played on Euro AND got 3 strokes better per round, then maybe. But if I get 3 strokes better per round I make every cut on the PGA and am in the top 100 anyway.

I wouldn't say that making every cut on the PGA gets you inside the top 100. I've made every cut and am still 117..

Noted. But you are heading that way. Over the long haul I bet you get to 100 in that scenario... you have gone up slightly every week in WGR

No point in having a ryder cup because its obvious taste would win it on his own.
