I'm hoping Chad can get the PS4 file I pulled to work. The file is easy to find and pull, just not sure the formatting works. When saved to a USB stick, there are two files, one is 18mb and the other is a 1kb BIN file. I sent chadgolf DL link that hopefully works and maybe - just maybe - we can do this on PS4 as well. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I understand the inevitable question that's coming lol - you obviously have a PC because you still need one to do the other course stuff and run the software, why not just do it all on the PC? Short Answer: I work all day from a computer. I'd like to let go of the mouse and keyboard in my leisure time

Sorry, these look to be heavily encrypted to prevent cheaters and others from modifying the game state.
There may be a way with a "file explorer" on the PS4 itself, but that might involve jailbreaking which will ruin your warranty and maybe your PS4 as well.
My recommendation is still to buy a copy of TGC on Steam when it goes on sale. You can use the editor on a mid-tier computer or even in Bootcamp and have a moderate experience.

Oh well, it was worth a shot. Not surprised at the encryption though. Thanks for taking a look at it!

Hi everyone Hoping someone have the time to give me some pointers. Been working with a course from Lidar and everything is good and both lidar and OSM is goof when i open the Course on TGC, but im really strugling with editing and playtest the game. Kind of expected since im running windows 10 on a MacBook Pro with bootcamp.. (But that was the solution when i didnt have the time to run out to by myself a PC ) So now im thinking i can take the course over to my PS4 for editing, planting, sculpting, playtest etc., . But unsure how to get the file from my MAC(Windows) to the PS4. Im guessing there is some compatibility issues, fileformats etc. Also have no ide where and how to store it on my TGC on PS4. PS: Just started playing the game and i have to say I love the community. The combination of the game and all the fantastic people is just awsome. Thank you. Oyvind

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but to my knowledge, this is not possible. Ok. So I’m realizing how under privileged I am using counsel for this game (PS4). Now with the Lidar possibilities I am looking at getting the PC version. I do not have a gaming computer and would like to avoid having to get one. I looked through the requirements for the PC game. The one concern I have is the processor. My laptop (yes laptop) is an Asus and has an intel (R) core (TM) i5-5200 CPU @2.20 GHz 2.19GHz. Is that sufficient? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks, Keith.

I definitely can't run anything close to high quality settings, but it still gets the job done, for me at least.

I am lookign to use the PC for design only...then I have the PS4 for playing.

Just do what I do;
Connect your laptop to big screen TV with HDMI etc. connect Xbox controller wirelessly to laptop, connect wireless mouse and then sit yourself on the sofa and use like a console!
I find it even better to design on because I can operate course photos and google earth in the background to switch between windows when planting, measuring etc.
I just use the console for fantasy designs where I don't need other data, just my creative side.
Hope that helps

Again, i work at a computer all day so the last thing i want in my leisure time is a mouse and keyboard near me, regardless of the monitor. It would feel like I'm still at work and nobody wants to feel like that

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but to my knowledge, this is not possible. Does anyone know how the Lidar courses are created on the PS4? I haven't found a way using the PS4 design tools to implement Lidar. I assumed that the TGC 2019 had cross-platform capability from all of the Lidar courses that I found on the PS4. So, I spent numerous hours going through Chad's tutorial to create a Lidar course of a local course on the PC version and finally got a workable version to publish. I was definitely disappointed when my published course did not show up in my PS4 course search. You know what they say about assuming. I prefer the game play of the PS4 compared to a PC. I'd appreciate any guidance on how Lidar courses are created on the PS4. Thanks.

Sony does not allow for any workable files or mods created outside of the console environment for any game to be usable on their consoles (neither does Microsoft for XBox). This is to prevent people from creating and spreading viruses on consoles. While it is possible to pull a course file from the PS4 (see my previous posts in this thread), you can't really do anything with that afterwards in regards to creating a lidar course on PS4. The files are encrypted. You'll need to do it all from a PC.

Well, I was pleasantly surprised to discover the Lidar course I published through the PC game was able to be located in the PS4's course list. I just stumbled onto the message board today and haven't explored it that much, but I thought it wasn't possible to publish a course through the PC and access it through the PS4 based on what I saw here and the fact I initially couldn't find my published course on the PS4. I guess when I tried to find it the file hadn't fully uploaded yet or there's some kind of delay or something.
