Hey all!
I just wanted to bring up an idea I had that uses this new tool. It’s pretty self explanatory- you find some IRL land with quality LIDAR to use, and you put it into a plot. Then, you create a new course using that terrain. Would anyone be interested in seeing something like that? I actually had an idea like this a while back but abandoned it when I tried to sculpt, so I still have a full 18 hole course plotted on google earth. Just a thought. Opinions?

Yes, I heard about a guy building a course on lidar from his grandfather's farm.
I suppose it could be possible to do "remixes" of existing or famous courses as well.

I’ll definitely be playing around with this concept at some point

For my Raynor Farms course I took the course that I grew up playing and tried to recreate it the best I could, and then I renovated it to build a Seth Raynor course on top of it. At some point I will likely generate the course that my parents live on, and then renovate that course into something interesting. I expect the second go-round to be immensely easier, assuming I can locate the lidar data.
