The North Course at Los Angeles C.C. will play host to the U.S. Open in 2023. I had been slaving away at tracing the surfaces the old fashioned way. Now I've got rough elevations and surfaces done in a day!  Seems like the surfaces and lidar data match up almost perfectly in a few places but less so in others. I'll also probably delete the spline bunkers and replace them with shapes so the edges don't look so smooth. Also, for some reason the 13th fairway never came over from OSM (every other fairway was fine). |

Thanks to the city's crack snow removal team getting busy at 4 AM, I had some time this morning to polish up and plant hole 1. This bunker style is tough, but I think I've hit upon a reasonable approximation.  |

Liking how it's coming together, though I'm not sure it's even possible to truly do justice to genuine Billy Bell-style bunkers given the limitations of the designer. Even these imitation versions are pretty time consuming though! |
