I started eagle, birdie and birdie on the first 3 holes to card a score of -9. Missed several putts for birdie that skimmed the edge. A bogey at 14 was my only blemish. Also, I had a few VF tempo swings that came out of nowhere.

Where’s my name on the leaderboard? It should slot in nicely somewhere near the bottom...

There's probably more CC-Pro players because 12 of the entrants took part in the CC Ryder Cup I hosted last week. I think the Pro flights are more active on the forums as well. I was glad to get some CC-Am guys in as this is a rare opportunity that we get to play the same course.

Round 2 Update Still top of the leaderboard after 2 rounds is Paul Rainford who followed up his -13 first round with an impressive -12. The nearest challenger is Marc Van Niekerk on -20 as he shot -11 which was 2 strokes lower than his first round. Ashton Fox slipped down from 2nd to 3rd with a -9 second round and tied for 4th is Pat O'Dell and Chris Keenan, Chris shot -12 to jump from 10th to 4th on the leaderboard on -18. 3 shots back on -15 is both Paul Bradford and Mark Ross, Mark pulled himself level with Paul with his 2nd round of -8 bettering Paul's -7 Round.
Zach Eads dropped down the leaderboard to 8th from 5th after his -5 2nd round leaving him -13 at the halfway point. Tied 9th is Jeff Freeman and David Kendall, Jeff couldn't match his -7 1st round with a -5 2nd round. David on the other hand put his -2 1st round behind him with a great -10 to propel him up the leaderboard to tied 11th. In tied 13th place is Joe Gates, Leon Anderson and Graeme Bulloch. All players improved on their first round with Joe (-6), Leon (-8) and Graeme (-6) in their second rounds.
Next is Justin Ciboch who shot -6 to go to -9 to tie with Bill Owensby although Bill has still to play round 2. Tim Brantford and Dave Richards are 1 shot behind on -8, Dave with two steady rounds of-4 and Tim going 4 strokes lower than his first round with a -6 round. Last up is Arthur Vandelay who got over his -1 1st round with a -6 2nd round and if he can keep that going he'll be ready to leapfrog any players that falter in the 3rd round.
With Bill still to play his 2nd round and Hunter Butler still to play his 1st round the leaderboard is still likely to change before the halfway stage. Will anybody be able to catch Paul Rainford who is sitting joint 1st in CC-A after 2 rounds.

Final 2x rounds had a shocker on the greens, lost all the feel to my putting. I'm expecting to be overtaken if people have shot well in the 3rd & 4th round... Good luck all.

I've updated the spreadsheet with how it would go if we played the knockout format I was thinking of doing. The way it works is that the 5 highest scores from round 1 are knocked out. Then in the 2nd round the 5 highest scores for that round are knocked out regardless of round 1 scores. In round 3 the 5 highest scoring players are knocked out to leave 4 players in the final round. These 4 players would then battle it out in the final round and the lowest score wins. In the event of a draw the count back system would determine who goes through, judging scores from the 18th hole backwards.
I'm not implementing it on this competition but I thought it provided a good chance to explain it better.

Got my 1st and 2nd rounds in (finally). Managed to stay bogey free through both with 1st 64 (-8) and 2nd 62 (-10). No highlights to speak of. Good luck for those with rounds left👍

So we have the majority of round 3 scores in, so I've updated the spreadsheet and leaderboard on OP.

Round 3 Update As we move into the business end of the competition we have a three way tie for the lead. Paul Rainford's -5 round allowed Ashton Fox who shot -11 and Marc Van Niekerk who carded a -10 round to catch him. Sitting in 4th place and 4 strokes behind is Pat O'Dell on -26 who leads 5th placed Chris Keenan by 2 strokes. One shot behind Chris is Paul Bradford with a -8 round and Zach Eads who shot a -10 to go to -23. In 8th place sits Mark Ross whose -7 round took him to -22 and in 9th is Hunter Butler on -18 after 2 rounds.
Graeme Bulloch makes up the top 10 with a -6 3rd round (-18) and tied 2 strokes back is Justin Ciboch (-7) and Leon Anderson (-5) on -16. Jeff Freeman is 13th after his -2 3rd round takes him to -14 quickly followed by Joe Gates (-2) and Tim Brantford (-5) on -13. On -12 we have David Kendall after 2 rounds and Arthur Vandelay who shot -5 to be placed in 16th place. Bill Owensby is 17th after his first round of -9 then Dave Richards whose +1 round saw him slide down to-7.
