Scioto Country Club is a course that I feel is overlooked when talking about great major championship courses- it hosted a US Open and PGA Championship, among other events like the US Amateur and US Senior Open. But, at only 6900 yards and not super closed in like Merion, it would likely be torn apart by today’s top players.
So... I’m hoping that its (fictional) sister course in Olentangy Country Club can bring more attention to the classic Midwestern style of Scioto. Named after the other major river in Columbus, OCC sits on the banks of the Olentangy, offering a tough test to anyone who plays.
No pics yet, but they’ll be posted in this thread soon.
P.S. I both love and hate mattf27 and mrvinegar206 for the routing stream the other night... I had my whole course routed then thought, wow, that method is so much smarter than mine, and I started over lol
