Tempest Strand has been published as part of the World Cup of Design contest. Please play this course, as well as the other courses in the competition if you have not gotten the chance to.
Name: Tempest Strand Yards: 6700 (Greens : Tips) Par: 71
Course is soft with slower greens. A ton of sand and dune grass. Stay out of the sand and you should score low.
Cheers.

just played hole 7. Might be the best hole you've ever designed buddy. Very nice.
edit - hole 10 is no slouch either...

I did an original 18, then erased basically everything but 1, 2 and 7, Which was originally 15 on the back 9. I loved everything about it so much that I routed the whole course, just to make sure I could still include that hole. It led to some weird decisions. For instance, if someone pays close enough attention they'll see that yo get from green 7 to tee 8 you have to cross fairway 6. Either way, hey thanks I love that hole.

Think this one looks great, a few minor flaws here and there mostly tee box stuff. Honestly felt right at home here, has the feel of a lowlands southern coastal course. Excellent scenery and layout. Loved the bunkering and lighting. Give this one a go for sure guys

Very nice course. Hole 5 really stood out for me. What a beautiful par 3 you created there.
Good luck in the contest.

If I was smart I would have made the whole thing straddle the beach, but that felt dishonest. I'm up against some stiff competition but we'll see how the course shakes out. Thanks again!

Well, I have never played so well as I did on this course. I loved everything about it. Will be hosting this on the Inglorious Basterd's (pc) Society in the next few days. It should bump up your plays considerably. Just a fantastic course. Good luck in the contest

The majority of the 4s have short carries too. I could see someone hitting -20 with a little luck

I just got round to checking this out today. It is awesome, looks great and plays great. I especially loved the bunkering, they look so natural.

Still on my "to do" list and maybe we will work it in this Friday for some alt+shot streaming. This is one of 3 courses that scares the crap out of me on our side of the bracket. Congrats on moving onto the next round and I will be giving this a play this week one way or another.

Congrats on moving onto the next round and I will be giving this a play this week one way or another. If you get around to it, that'd be awesome. I haven't had time to play yours but I've seen it on twitch twice. Honestly I'm just happy to have escaped the group stage. All gravy from here on out.

For instance, if someone pays close enough attention they'll see that yo get from green 7 to tee 8 you have to cross fairway 6. I wouldn't worry about that too much. In real life, at Market Drayton Golf Club to get from the 10th tee to the 10th fairway you have to cross the 1st and 18th fairways. You have to have your eyes peeled and head on a swivel there!
