Flying a plane in video games has never been something I enjoy. Always avoid it in Battlefield and wouldn't even do it back in the Warhawk days. Just not something I'd ever be interested in. From what I've heard it's only 3 or 4 missions that are in VR, but what's there is done well. Of course I heard that on the internet, so take that for what it's worth.

I likes a little bit of sim flying - but only have an Oculus for PC. The VR content in this game is exclusive to PS4 for at least a year - otherwise I probably would have purchased the PC version already.
Would be interested in your thoughts on the game if you do give it a bash Jimmy - still half tempted to grab it for non-VR play. As John says there's only a few missions for VR, so the base game game has to be compelling too.

I got it when it came out for my base PS4. HDMI to Sony HD 55 inch.
Personally think it looks like ass. Played 2 missions and quit. Too bad, looks to be lots of fun. Don't have a vr thing. Just can't get past the image quality. Maybe spoiled a bit from Red Dead 2 on the base ps4 and being mainly a PC player.
I can't fly planes, drive tanks or ride horses in games though. Thought I would try it anyway lol.
Thread hijack
I have (will have once it starts or the EA page updates to show my friend link) 3 vip demo access codes to give out for Anthem (pc, not sure if you can use them for PS4 or XB1) Demo starts Friday...anyone wants one let me know.

Warhawk on PS3 was the best shooter ever made. I was so disappointed they never did a reboot update for PS4. I usually played CTF mode and was a flag capper. I was constantly trying to pull flags out of the enemy base with total disregard for how many times I was killed. I played to win the match. Man I miss that game. It wasn't the same when streaming the game play via PS Now.

Warhawk was the game that made online gaming go beyond just a cool novelty I wasn't used to as a console gamer. Plus I was better at it than any other online shooter. I usually sport a K/D ratio just short of 1 in most games but in Warhawk I was around 1.2. Possibly the best balanced game ever as well since if you were good enough it made little difference if you were in the sky, a tank, or on foot you could take out anyone else. I had more than a few one-on-one battles against a tank while I was on foot that I managed to win. Just a brilliantly done game that deserved more recognition than it got.

Totally agree, The balance was the greatest thing about Warhawk. You didn't need to be good in the aircraft to succeed in the game. If you wanted to ground and pound, you could and be very successful. Starhawk was a disappointment though. I always told my wife that if i ever won Powerball, i would buy the franchise and relaunch it.
