Welcome to Bandit Ridge! It would be Bandit Ridge Golf Club...but it's really the only thing on the ridge so no need to be quite so specific or stuffy sounding. Bandit Ridge is a par 71 course that's about 7200 yards and really runs the gambit of difficulty and style. There will be wide open fairway, tight drives, forced layups at times, rolling greens, and a LOT of sand and dishevelment (it's the best word right now right job?). This is a course that will give you what you earn. If you make shots you'll score like a bandit. If you miss shots you may rage quit. There are some winding uphill and downhill putts out there...but they are all makeable (Trust me I've putted from just about everywhere...) You're not going to find a fountain or flowerbed anywhere, but the practice facilities are fine and the clubhouse is about the best view you could want... JUDGES: If you're master clubs then play from the back. If you're not then go up a tee. Play any pin you like but my favorite is pin 2. Why? Not sure...I just like the shots that they made me play. If you find stupid stuff let me know. If you don't like the course...that's ok. It's not everyone's cup of tea. If you do like it...play it again! Have fun.

it's a little different in spots...but there are a few holes that I really dig. 4, 5, 6 is a great stretch I think.

Wonderful feel and environment; certainly a different look than what we're used to seeing given the red sand bunkers, hard edges of boreal, browner rough and muted greens. Comes together beautifully.
Most enjoyed the fact that the terrain is bold, the greens fit naturally onto hillocks and down into dells. The entire course looks "found" rather than built. 3-6 is a phenomenal stretch of holes, as is 13-17.
I have no qualms with the green speeds..actually thought that 164 was about right but maybe could have handled 170.
Critiques might be that I wasn't feeling the big rock outcroppings, though they were well done and looked natural. The course didn't need them though, and it detracted slightly. Another critique would be that the fairways were so bouncy/fast that sometimes a pelted drive ended up in the rough due to some wild ejecting bounces. I'm not a stickler for that sort of thing and really didn't bother me but I can see why it would drive some insane, especially with no intermediate rough. The secret is to find spots on the edges of fairways to land knowing that the ball is going to bounce and roll out.
Certainly a track that only reveals its secrets through multiple plays.
Super fun, visually enticing, tons of replay value. Some of the best bunkering I've ever seen (I'm partial to this style).
Above all, this course is a great example that courses do not need to be overly long or narrow to be plenty challenging...uneven lies, width that forces decision making, and non-obvious features like perpendicular ridges bisecting the greens make for a more subtle means of testing even good players while retaining playability for the masses.
As solid as we've come to expect from Reebdoog. Thanks for your efforts.

tourney version may go to 170 or so. I left the fairways all about medium...but it was a close thing. I agree on rocks. Should have ditched em but kinda just used them as a cop out to be honest. Glad you enjoy! And yes, multiple plays are needed to figure things out totally

Course felt so naturally and real. Everything was sculpted beautifully and the planting was spot on. I actually like the rocks and thought they added a lot to the whole vibe. Especially loved the look on 9 with the rocks basically hanging over the green and the clubhouse and little deck overlooking. Really nice job!

Tough but fair with Pro clubs from the tips. Stunningly beautiful array of uber-strategic holes. Along with Aristida Dunes my second finalist so long as they avoid each other along the way!! Good luck Reeb.
